Austin's POV
We seemed to be walking down hill, but I had no clue where I was going. It was so dark that I couldn't even see my hand that was literally touching my face! I did my best to lead the way, but the way Brittany was saying oww every five seconds told me I wasn't doing a very good job.
"Oww! Austin!"
"Sorry, it's really dark." I apologized.
"No, really?" She said sarcastically.
I loved how Brittany wasn't afraid to put me in my place. Every girl I usually talk to just goes along with everything. Every time I make a move it's like it doesn't effect her. I think she's playing hard to get... or at least I hope she is.
"Hey Austin?" She asked.
"Yeah?"
"I think there's something gripping my shoulders." She said, her voice getting higher.
"Seriously?" I asked. I was now getting nervous.
"Nah, I'm just playing with you." She giggled.
"Brittany don't do that!" I said a little irritated.
"Why were you nervous?"
"No... I just... don't want anything to happen to you."
"Aww, Austin you're so sweet, but I don't think anything is going to happen to me."
I was glad it was dark because I didn't want her to see me blushing.
"Hey, there's some light up ahead!" I yelled excitedly.
"Well then let's go!"
We entered the light and stopped as we took in our surroundings.
"Huh, Austin you can let go of my hand now."
"Right."
I quickly let go of her hand. She started to giggle which either meant I was blushing or something was on me.
"Well it looks to me like the only way out is to continue down this tunnel." Brittany said.
"Well at least it's lighted." I added.
We began to walk when we heard a faint scream.
"Did you hear something?" I asked.
"No."
I shrugged my shoulders and we carried on.

Sorry for this break, but what Brittany and Austin don't know is that they're walking in the same tunnel Hailey and Alex did. Also that if they stopped and leaned against the same wall they would have been reunited with Hailey and Alex.
Anyways back to the story...

Brittany's POV
If you ever go to a haunted house don't let Austin lead you when your walking down a dark tunnel, he'll most likely run you into walls like he did me. Anyways we were walking down the tunnel when I caught Austin staring at me. I do like him, but I don't know if he likes me, so I've been trying to play it cool. I hope he doesn't think I don't like him.
Austin's POV
I couldn't help, but stare at her mesmerising blue eyes. She caught me and I tried to act like I was staring at something else, but even I didn't buy my excuse. We continued down the winding tunnel when we approached a dead end.
"Great! Now what?" Brittany yelled.
She was clearly irritated.
"I guess we go back then." I said.
We turned around to head back up the tunnel, but we heard rock sliding along the concrete floor. I met Brittany's eyes before we both turned around to see what happened. To our surprise a new doorway appeared.
"I take it that we're supposed to go this way." I said as I lead the way.
Brittany's hand grabbed my shoulder, pushing me back.
"I think I'll lead this time." She said as she walked passed me.
I was surprised and I could feel myself beginning to smile.
"You coming or are you just going to stand there looking pretty?" She mocked.
I followed her lead. We approached a stairwell and began to climb.
"Do you hear that?" Brittany asked as she came to a halt.
"Yeah, what is it?"
"It almost sounds like as if someone is crying." She said as she began to climb again.
She started to smile and picked up her pace. I was so confused, but I attempted to keep up with her. We made it to the top and turned the corner.
"Hailey!" Brittany screamed as she squeezed her into a hug.
"Where's Alex?" I asked.
