Alex's POV

I just had that bad feeling in my gut when I saw Brittany randomly placed in the middle of a hallway, but no one listened. Austin and Hailey took off running as if they saw a celebrity. Luckily I have cat like reflexes, so I was able to grab onto the ends of their shirts. They put up a fight and it got harder and harder for me to hold onto them both. I didn't know how much longer I would be able to keep them back. Austin's shirt began slipping from my grip, but I had Hailey's locked tight. I tried to tell them, but they continued to fight and Austin won his fight. He took off running. I knew there was nothing I could do know, so I used my free hand to wrap Hailey in a bear hug, that way I wouldn't lose them both. Austin attempted to hug Brittany, but his arms went right through her, revealing that it was only a projection. Hailey stopped struggling. We both froze in fear as a huge mist appeared behind Austin. I wanted to warn him, but I just couldn't speak. He turned around and now knew what we were worried about. Austin tried to reassure us that it was nothing, but I knew better. In this house there is no such thing as something being nothing. Before he could laugh it off like he always does, he was engulfed by the dense, black mist. I heard him screaming, but it quickly became silent and I knew that I didn't want to find out for myself what Austin just went through. The mist let out a playful chuckle as it moved in our direction. I grabbed Hailey's hand and we started sprinting in the other direction. The mist followed close behind. Hailey and I ran down the hall hoping to find a place to hide. There was a sudden pull at my left side causing me to fall. Hailey had tripped over a pipe and took me down with her. I helped her up as the mist was now very close. We continued running, but we were stopped only a few feet away, due to a wall. We were cornered and there was no where to run or hide.

"Hailey I just want to say that I'm glad I met you and that I can honestly say I love you." I said.

"Aww Alex, I'm glad I met you too and I love you too." She said almost tearing up.

I leaned in and gave her a passionate kiss. Suddenly there was loud banging, as if a pipe was about to rupture. The mist was about where Hailey tripped over the pipe. Hailey and I looked at the pipe as it began to shake furiously. Before any of us could react a flood of water filled the halls. The mist screamed and formed into an ugly hag.

"The Witch!" I yelled over the loud sound of rushing water.

She was holding Austin. She began to smoke as the water raised. The witch gave up on trying to keep Austin and flew up through the ceiling as if she was a ghost. Austin was still unconscious. The water was now at our knees and Austin had disappeared under the water. I tried to rescue him, but to do that I had to go against the rushing water. Hailey held onto a light bolted to the wall as I trudged through the water. Suddenly Austin resurfaced spitting out water.

"Austin!" I yelled.

"Alex! Hailey! You're all right!"

"Austin is there an opening over there?"

"No, A wall came down like right as you told me to look."

"Okay then, we're trapped."

Austin attempted to stand up, but the current knocked him down again. The water was now chest high. Austin came up choking again. Hailey was still holding on to the light. Austin finally got smart and floated, letting the current carry him towards us. Unfortunately he ran over me doing so. We both were now stuck going wherever the current took us with no control what so ever. Hailey reached out and grabbed my hand and I grabbed Austin's. Suddenly the wall in front of us came crashing down and the water spilled out. Hailey held on tight, but the force was to strong, sending all three of us on a wild ride. It was as if we were on a giant water slide. We still held onto each other as we got thrown around. Up ahead I noticed the hall splitting in two directions.
