Max: I'm outside.
You: Okay. I'm headed out right now.
You walk out of your apartment building and you see Max standing at the end of the sidewalk, which causes a smile to spread across your face.
"Hey, (Y/N)," he grins.
"Hey, Max. It's nice to see you, especially not on a screen."
Max chuckles and you slip your phone in your back pocket. The two of you begin walking and you realize you have no idea where he's taking you. All he said was, "I think we should hang out today. Are you available?" and now here you are.
"Uh, Max? Where are we going exactly?" You ask as Max hits the button for the crosswalk sign thing.
"Adam and Alesa wanted to spend the day together so they asked me to watch Mason for them. Naturally, I said yeah, but I didn't want to babysit alone. I mean, do you see the way I protect babies on 'Who's Your Daddy?' Anyways, I went around asking everyone if they could hang out with me and Mason but no one was available so that's when I texted you."
You nod. Understandable, I guess.
"So are we going to Adam's house?" You wonder. Max is so bad at explaining things.
"Yeh," Max smiles. The both of you run across the road once the sign says walk.
Again, you nod.
Today, you'll be hanging out with Max. At Adam's house. Babysitting Mason. For the whole day.
Fun.

"Yo, Adam! I'm here!" Max shouts. You hear footsteps come towards your direction and you see Adam, who's dressed up nicely.
"Hey, Max. And (Y/N)? What're you doing here?" Adam questions.
Before you can open your mouth to answer, Max cuts in. "I asked her to babysit with me."
"Oh. Okay. Well Alesa just put Mason down for a nap so once that's settled we'll be leaving."
Max gestures you to the couch and whispers, "You can sit down if you want."
You sit and a woman wearing a dress and heels walks into the room. "I'm ready now," she says to Adam, then turns to Max. "Mason just fell asleep so you'll be good for maybe about two hours. You have our numbers already and obviously you know how to call the police if need be, although hopefully not, but still. So I guess we can go now. You'll be okay, right Max?"
Max scoffs. "I can handle it Alesa. Besides, I have (Y/N) here with me to help."
The woman, Alesa, realizes you're sitting on the couch and waves. "Oh, hello! I didn't even see you there!" She laughs. "My name's Alesa, it's nice to meet you (Y/N)!"
You wave and smile back, then her and Adam leave.
"Now what?" You ask after the door closes.
Max shrugs. "I don't know. What do you feel like doing?"
You shrug back. I feel like crying, to be honest. I still feel pretty sad about my mother.
"How about we just get to know each other then? Isn't that how people become friends?" Max asks.
He wants to be friends...?
"Sure," you reply.
Max sits in the chair in front of you so now the two of you are facing each other.
"I'll go first," Max says. "I already asked you some questions when we were texting yesterday so I guess we can start there. Um, what's your full name?"
"(Y/N) (M/N) (L/N). I already know a lot about you so you can just ask all the questions here."
"Fine. What's your favorite food?"
"(F/M)."
"Favorite color?"
"(F/C)."
This went on for about an hour. After Max ran out of questions, you asked about some facts that you read about him on some social medias. He confirmed some, but not all. You promised to keep all the info a secret, nonetheless.
"Hey, (Y/N)? Can I ask you an honest question? I'm really curious," Max asked.
You shrugged. "I don't see why not."
"How come you didn't fangirl when you first saw me and Adam? You were totally calm and didn't beg for an autograph or a picture with us. That's usually what normal fans do."
"Well... Maybe I'm not a normal fan," you say a tad quietly and slowly, which builds up a little tension in the room. "I mean, why did you give me your phone number after we'd only known each other five minutes. Why am I hanging out with you now?"
Max sits back. "I guess I just have a strong sense telling me I can trust you."
This got serious real quick.
"I'm gonna go check on Mason," you say as you get up. Max follows you to the baby's room.
When you open the door, Mason is just standing in his crib, giggling. He's so adorable, you think to yourself. His little arms reach up towards you. "I think he wants you," Max smirks. You smile and pick up Mason. He isn't too heavy so you hold him against your chest, clutching his middle back and butt lightly so you don't hurt him.
"You're kinda good with kids, (Y/N). Do you have younger siblings?"
You turn to Max and smile. "No, I'm actually an only child."
You rock Mason while he's against your chest and he soon falls asleep again. After you put him back in his crib, you and Max head out to the living room, closing the door softly.
"Are you good with kids, Max?" You ask. Max shrugs. "Only with Mason," he replies. "He's the cutest baby ever."
You laugh. "Aw, Dad Max."
Max growls. "Don't. Even. Start. That."
"Sorry about that, Mad Max."
"I'm going to fucking murder you, (Y/N) if you don't stop!"
"But then you'll be Bad Max!"
"That's it!"
Max starts charging towards you so you dash to the kitchen. Max follows, and you both run around the island a few times.
"Relax, Max," you whisper-yell, running back to the living room, "I've got more wisecracks so I could make some good comebacks!"
"Normal fan my ass!"
You reach the couch and scream as Max tackles you. His momentum cause you both to push the couch backwards and it falls.
Your head hits the floor and Max rolls onto the floor.
"God damn it, (Y/N)!"
"Me?! This was you, you Bad Max!"
"Argh! Stop that already!"
(A.N. Woah, another long chapter! That's a shock.)
