"It's a beautiful baby boy," the doctor smiles, holding up the newborn. She hands him to a nurse who cleans him from all the blood. Then the baby ends up in your arms, laying on your chest. You smile weakly and continue trying to pace your breath. They said delivery was hard, but this hard? Breathing shouldn't be this difficult, should it? You didn't care at the moment. You just focused on your beautiful boy. There was definitely both parents in this child. Max took form in the hair, nose, eyebrows, and chin. You took place in the eyes, skin, ears, and mouth. Either way, this healthy boy was beautiful, gorgeous, phenomenal. "I'm really proud of you," Max grinned, squeezing your hand. You sighed happily and closed your eyes, your grip on the boy loosening. "(Y/N)?"

Your eyes opened to darkness.

"(Y/N)?" Max's voice came from right next to you.

"Yes?"

"Are you okay?"

"Yes, why?

Two thumbs wiped the underneath of your eyes and Max sighed.

"You're crying..."

"I am?"

"Did you have a bad dream?"

You sat up and stared straight into the dark. You put a hand gently on your stomach and frowned.

"No. The opposite. I had a good dream."

"Then why are you crying?"

"I don't know. I was just really happy."

Max chuckles at the logic. "Do you want to explain it to me?"

"No. I want to see if it'll really happen."

"If it does, then will you explain it?"

"Yes, I promise."

Lips rested upon your hair and you could feel a smile form.

"Go back to sleep, (Y/N)."

"Okay," you answered, laying back down. Sleep took gain of you again.
