25. Back To The Airport

Once all the luggage is in the trunk of Max's car, you hug everyone goodbye. You and Max are gonna be headed to the airport to leave to the mystery place Max has chosen to take you for the honeymoon.

No matter how much you bug him about telling you, he won't crack (which is a first).

"Look, Max," you say as you point to the car clock. "It's 11:11. There's a thing that says if you make a wish, it's supposed to come true."

Max smiles and starts driving. "My wish already came true, (Y/N). I have you, don't I?"

You smile and smack Max's arm lightly. He grins and looks at you for a split second.

"You're amazing, you know that?"

"How so?"

"Remember when you mentioned seeing a soft side you didn't recognize?"

You nod slowly, releasing a small yawn. "Yeah?"

"I never even noticed. Your presence affects me in ways I don't even recognize."

You smile at Max and he smiles back. Then you yawn.

"It's real late. You should sleep. It'll take us a while to get to the airport, anyways."

You shake your head and yawn again. "No, I'm fine."

Max sighs. "What is it with women and being so stubborn?"

"I'm not stubborn!"

"Just sleep, (Y/N)."

"Fine..."

You grab Max's right arm and rest the side of your face on it.

"I love you, Max."

"I love you too (Y/N) now go to sleep."

"You're so pushy..."

You close your eyes and the darkness sucks you in.

"(Y/N)... (Y/N)... (Y/N)!"

You keep your eyes closed and mutter, "What?"

"We're at the airport. Wake up. You can sleep again on the plane."

"This is why I didn't want to go to sleep in the first place, Max... I'm super sleepy now."

Max sighs from his seat and you hear the car door open. "Fine," he replies, opening your door. "I'll just carry you then."

Max unbuckles your seatbelt and lifts you up. You grab the seat last minute, still keeping your eyes shut.

"No!" You whisper/shout.

Max begins trying to pry you off. "(Y/N)! Stop it! Let go!"

"No!"

"We don't have time for this! We're gonna be late for the flight!"

"No!"
