"Tyler, I was thinking about something today and I realized there's a certain story I need to tell you."

Tyler looked at me confused. "What are you talking about?"

"After your mother said yes to my proposal," I chuckle very lightly, "I told her, 'Years from tonight, we'll tell our children the story of how I proposed to you.' We only had one child, and it's been many years since then, but the sentence still counts."

"You're gonna tell me the story now, aren't you?" Tyler smiled.

I smirked. "You bet your ass I am. I told your mom I would so I'm keeping that promise. Anyways, the story of my proposal actually begins a few days before I asked her..."

"Adam, can I talk to you?" I asked nervously. This needs to be fast so (Y/N) doesn't get curious and come looking for me.

"Oh, hey Max. Sure."

"In your office? Alone?"

"Okay... C'mon."

We walked to his office and closed the door. Adam sat in his chair while I just stood in front of his desk.

"What's this about, Max? You seem kinda uncomfortable," Adam questioned.

"Can I be honest with you?" I sighed.

Adam nodded.

"(Y/N) is the most beautiful person I know. Her looks, her personality, everything. I really really like her and I'm glad we're dating but I want to take this farther. If you know what I mean."

Adam's eyebrow raised.

"Marriage, Adam. Marriage. Get your mind out of the gutter."

"I didn't even think that, Max," Adam laughed. "It's just that... You two have only been dating a month. This seems quite fast, but honestly, who am I to judge you? Actually, why did you even want to talk to me right now?"
