It's been about a week since I last saw Max and called Alesa. She gave me lots of advice and squeals, but I'm still not sure. How could Max take such a strong liking to me so fast, especially me being an ordinary fangirl? There's nothing special about me at all. I'm just... me. A lame, dorky, editor for my friend's YouTube channel. Perhaps I'm just being self conscious, but perhaps not.

You sigh and stop editing John's Saltine Cracker Challenge video. It's a Friday and you're super bored. You've mainly been moping around the apartment all day. You want to hang out with Max, but don't want to call or text him first because you might seem desperate. Being a girl sucks.

New Message - John

You haven't talked to John in a while so you smile at the notification. What could John want to talk about?

John: Hey, (Y/N). I was wondering if maybe you wanted to hang out tonight? We haven't really hung out in a while so I figured since it's Friday we could go to that one nightclub we went to a few months ago? Plus you might need a break from all that editing.

Your smile turns into a grin. John knows you so well. You two have been friends since fourth grade.

You: I'd love to, John. What time?

John: I'll pick you up at 7:30 tonight, okay?

You: Sure, John. See ya then.

You glance at the time. 1:35 p.m. You've got plenty of time to get ready, but also plenty of time to edit.

Sigh.

You and John have been at this club since who knows when. Even though you're only nineteen and John is only twenty, you both ordered drinks. Lots of drinks. The bartender is an old friend of John's so he "hooked you up". Wine for you, beer for John. Beer isn't exactly your forte, but you're only nineteen. You shouldn't have a forte in alcohol. At this point in the night, you and John were each tipsy, John a little more than yourself.

"This is some good Merlot," you giggle. "I could never get tired of this."

"Me neither," John grins, taking anither swig. "I love this place."

"I love this song!" You smile. "Let's dance!"

John nods and you both set down your drinks, heading towards the packed dance floor.

More time passes. Still wasted and dancing. Although, now it's a slow song. You and John are holding each other, laughing and talking about nothing. Suddenly, John becomes a bit more serious.

"I-I l-love you, (Y/N)," he whispers in your ear. "I've like y-you ever since we first became f-friends."

You back away from John a little. "What?"

"I love you, (Y/N). I want to be with you." John places his hands and your cheeks and forces his lips onto your own. At first, you like it, but then your drunken mind becomes more sober. You push John away and tears form in your eyes.

"I-I can't John. I don't like you like that. We can't be more than friends. I'm sorry." If it weren't for the blasting music, everyone could hear our conversation.

"W-What? W-Why? Is it because of that YouTuber? Mithzan Max? Do you like him more than me? You haven't even known him that long! He's just a YouTuber!"

"You're a YouTuber, too, John! And this has nothing to do with Max!"

"Oh, first name basis now, huh? Are you too good for me now, Miss Thing? You start hanging out with someone famous and all of a sudden you don't like me? Well I've got news for you! He probably doesn't even like you! You're nothing but the average fan! He wouldn't ever notice you like that! But I can, and I am! I want you to be my girlfriend, (Y/N)!"

"No, John, I can't! We can't ever be more than friends! I'm sorry, but that's the way it is!"

Tears stream not only from your eyes, but also from John's. "You bitch!" He shouts. "I fucking hate you! I love you so much! I would do anything for you! Would Mithzan do anything for you?! I bet he doesn't even like you!"

Your body begins to shake. "John," you sternly whisper, "I don't know if you're saying this because you're drunk or you're actually being honest, but Max does like me. He enjoys hanging out with me, and I enjoy hanging out with him. I'm really sorry, but I don't think we can be friends anymore. Goodbye."

You turn around and gather your stuff as you prepare to storm out. "How are you going to get home?!" John yells. "I brought you here! Oh, I bet Max is going to pick you up, huh?"

You don't bother to even answer. John's not worth it anymore. You leave the club and stand outside, finally releasing all of the pain. Your cries fill the night for about twenty minutes. Then you gather yourself enough to use your phone.

"Hello? (Y/N)?"

"M-Max can you pl-please pick me up?" You voice is super shaky and tears threaten to come out again.

"Wait, what? Why? Where are you? Do you have any idea what time it is?"

"Please, Max. Just pick me up. I can't be here anymore. John might come looking for me." The plead in your voice convinces Max.

"Okay, okay. Where are you?"

"I'm at Klüb IcE. Please hurry, Max!"

"I'm on my way right now. Don't move from where you're standing."

The phones hangs up and you begin to cry once again. I'm such a crybaby! Save me, Max, please. Just this one time! I can't cope with all this on my own! Mithzan Max, please! I beg of you...
