Your POV:

I finished breakfast fairly fast, threw the trash away, and walked to my first class.

///

When I got there, I sat down and reviewed my notes for my test.

The rest of the students came in, most shoving me or teasing me.

I am usually always one of the first to this class.

Audrey sits next to me.

She is two minutes late.

"Ms. Rose... You are late, again."

"Correction: Fashionably late."

"Should I give you detention?"

"No, sir."

"I will not be receiving any more sass from you, right?"

"Yes, sir."

"Excellent... Okay, so today we will be having a test. I hope you studied last night."

I hear moans and groans from the class as the teacher hands out the test.

"Go as soon as you get the test, and flip it over when you're done."

I get my test and I start immediately.

///

When I finish, I pull out a book and read. Some people draw. Some people, like Audrey, file their nails. Others sleep on their desks.

I am one of the very few people who like to read books.

I know Doug likes them.

I don't know of anyone else.

Maybe Jane?

///

I walk out to the Tourney field with Audrey.

I see Carlos and I walk over to him.

"Don't forget we have the assembly tomorrow about our design."

"What was our design anyways?"

"Villainous Princesses."

"Oh, yeah! Hey, good luck..."

"When I've got a cheer leader girlfriend like you, I will."

He kisses my cheek, puts his helmet on, and runs out to the field.

We run over our routines and we start cheering making the crowd buzz with excitement.

Doug scores a few goals for us and so does Eric. Who knew they, specifically Doug, were so good!?

When Doug sits down, I talk to him, give a sort of sibling pep talk.

That word sounds so foreign to me.

I never had a sibling that I knew of my whole life and to have been bombarded by it so suddenly is just berserk. It's crazy. It's the best thing to happen to me, ever!

I wonder how Mum is doing. I'm not sure what to call her... She did take me in after all.

I have never felt so free in my life.

I go back to my cheer and I drink a lot of water.

The sun scorches us all. Carlos receives a tan; Jay gets a burn; and I get a mixture of both.

I place an icepack over my burn and Carlos and jay have cold rags  over their burns and tans.

It was at least 90° out there today. I'm surprised no one passed out today in that extreme heat.
