Sting watched in silence as Lucy exited the cabin entering the forest.
"Aren't you going to stop her young man?" Rosemary asked standing from her chair.
"I'm not the one she wants." Sting said lowly standing from his chair.
"How are you so sure?" Rosemary asked annoyed.
"Did you see how she walked out that door after him?! I can't force her to love me!" Sting yelled angrily hitting the wall.
"Sting, calm down." Rogue pleaded protecting a frightened Rosemary.
Stings eyes opened in shock. He pulled his hand out the wall opening and closing it repeatedly. "Im sorry, I need some air." Sting said walking out the cabin into the forest as Lucy did.
Sting followed Lucy's footsteps that led to the city. Instead of heading the direction she went in, he went the opposite.
Sting aimlessly wondered around the music and busy streets of Crocus hoping to find some happiness this day. For he knew he was a second choice.
His tears silently fell as he sat on a bench. Sting felt the bench shift slightly as more weight was added onto it, however he did not glance up.
"Are you truly going to give up?" A soft voice asked.
"What am I meant to do, Yukino? She loves him not me." Sting said balling his hands into fists. "I can only accept it."
Yukino sighed let out a small giggle, "You really need to get out this gloomy mood and prove to her why she should stay here. With the guild, with Rosemary, with Minerva, with Rogue," Yukino paused. "And most importantly with you."
"What if she doesn't want to stay with us? Then what do I do?" Sting asked.
"She does, you just have to win her heart. I know she loves you as well." Yukino said standing from the bench. "Stargazers are her favorite flowers by the way!"
Sting watched as Yukino became one with the crowd immediately, vanishing from his sight. Sting stood and sighed, he was risking it all.
Sting stood from the bench running to the train station. As he arrived to the station he noticed a small flower boutique. He quickly jogged to the shop.
"Stargazers, I need them. The best ones you have." Sting said catching his breath. The owner simply nodded gathering the desired flowers and tying the stems with a nice red bow.
Sting hand her the money in exchange for the flowers then quickly took off to the train station once again.
As Sting ran he was careful not to hurt or break the flowers. Once he arrived to the station he immediately hid behind a wall as he saw Natsu and Lucy speaking.
He toned his hearing where he could hear them perfectly.
"I can't leave these people behind. I love them."
"Fairytail will miss you." Natsu said trying to reason with Lucy. "Don't go for me, go for the guild members."
Lucy shook her head as she took a step back. "I can't go back. I like it here."
"Lucy please, let's go home." Natsu extended his hand out to Lucy.
Lucy slowly reached for his hand, Natsu smiled but it quickly left his face when she closed it into a fist. "I won't leave them. Give the guild my regards, I'll visit twice a month."
Natsu hung his head low and his hand fell back to his side. "I'll be sure to tell them."
Natsu boarded the train with the doors closing behind him. He turned around to see Lucy giving him a teary smile which he returned. Natsu placed his hand on the glass as the train started moving. Lucy simply waved as the train ride away to Magnolia.
Sting heard her sigh and her foot steps headed in his direction. Sting took a deep breath and stepped out from behind the wall hiding the flowers behind him.
"Sting? What are you doing here?" Lucy asked wiping her tears.
"You didn't go with him." Sting said in awe.
Lucy focused her gaze to Sting eyes as she tilted her head to the side. "I couldn't leave any of you behind, right?"
Sting wrapped his arms around Lucy taking her in his strong embrace. Lucy gladly returned the hug. "I really thought you were." He said between sobs.
"I couldn't do that to you." Lucy said as she placed a hand on Stings head. They stayed like that for awhile until Sting pulled away revealing the hidden flowers.
Lucy let out a gasp as her eyes landed on the flowers. "Who are those for?" Lucy asked gently touching the pedals.
Sting fumbled over his words, "They are for you." Sting extended his arm with the flowers looking at the ground.
Lucy happily took the flower with blush covering her cheeks. She smiled genuinely as she sniffed the flowers.
Sting looked in every direction before sighing and taking Lucy's free hand in his own. "Lucy, I'm going to say this, and don't hate me for it, but I love you." Lucys eyes widened.
"I loved you ever since I saw how broken you were they day we met." Sting quickly kissed Lucys lips which she returned happily. After they parted Sting spoke once more, "Let me heal your broken heart. Forever."
Tears fell slightly from he eyes as she nodded. "Okay, I love you too." Lucy said a smile forming on her lips.
