Chapter 28: Truce

Chapter 28

It had been a couple of days since I talked to Rebekah and I had been going to the high school again just to keep an eye on her but she was avoiding me the whole time. I had half a mind to join the cheer leading squad to take away her badass reputation as one of them. I was actually now thinking of doing exactly that to piss her off.

I shook my head and went back to planning Klaus's death. I didn't have time to worry about Rebekah just in case she got in my way.

I sighed and went downstairs and headed out the door no one was home right now so I could leave as I please. I was headed to Bonnie's grandmothers and her house.

Once I reached the front door I let out a deep sigh then knocked an older woman answered the door who I assumed to be Bonnie's grandmother.

"Hi my name is Catrina. I've come to make a truce with your grandaughter in order to kill the hybrid Klaus and keep Elena safe." I introduced putting a hand out, "And also to keep Bonnie safe."

"A witch and a vampire? I'd never thought I'd see th day. My name is Sheila." Sheila introduced, "What do you mean keep my Bonnie safe?"

"The Salvatores and I think there is a vampire in town that wants to open the tomb." I answered, Sheila's eyes changed to an understanding gaze.

"Come in." Sheila said moving out of the way to let me through. We went into her kitchen and sat down. "Would you like some tea?"

"Yes please." I answered politely.

"Bonnie!" Sheila yelled and I saw Bonnie come into the kitchen.

"Grandma why did you allow her in here?" Bonnie sneered.

"Now Bonnie be nice, she came to make a truce." Sheila said.

"Grandma she has killed people!" Bonnie exclaimed.

"I know she has but she has the right intentions today." Sheila said scowling at Bonnie and Bonnie let out a long sigh and nodded. I explained what I knew and Bonnie understood why I had came. It was for Elena and not her.

"Klaus will want you dead so you have to temporally die. There is a spell I know to do just that but Klaus has to kill you physically and Elena and everyone can't know. Damon will know but that's it." I told her.

"But..."

"Im afraid Catrina is right, Emily has been talking to me and told me about your transition and how you could become evil like Klaus if you don't choose right." Sheila said and I raised an eyebrow, "The otherworld talks too my dear."

"But Grams how can I trust her after what she has done?" Bonnie asked, I didn't blame her for being cautious but I was trying to save her life.

"You don't have to. Trust in Elena." Sheila said.

"Okay." Bonnie gulped, "When?"

"A couple weeks before the next full moon." I told her and she nodded looking scared.

"What are you going to do?"

"I can't tell anyone that." I answered.

"Why not?"

"Because if Klaus gets to you he can't know I'm involved he trusts me. This is hard on me as it is without having to involve anyone else." I answered looking down at the floor.

"I understand." Bonnie sighed I could tell she ha spittle trust in me but she trusted me enough to help Elena.

"Do you have a piece of paper Sheila?" I asked.

"Of course I do." Sheila answered.

After Sheila handed a pen and paper I wrote down the spell, "Here is the spell. Now I have to work on my part of the plan."

"Thank you for keeping Elena safe Catrina." Bonnie said with a sincere smile I smiled back at her and nodded. Then I left. I spent the rest of the day planning to kill Klaus. Then I finnaly found what I wanted, two daggers with white oak ash.

"I pray this works." I sighed turning them invisible and setting them in my backpack. I headed home and used the air to jump up high enough in to my window. I grabbed the invisible daggers out of my bag and used my powers to lift up a floor board quietly and slipped them in. I heard footsteps coming and quickly closed it and sat on my bed.

"Where have you been today?" Damon asked coming to sit next to me.

"Busy." I answered, I hated lying to him but for his safety it was necessary, "I was thinking about being a cheerleader what do you think?"

Damon's smile turned seductive in a moment, "I love that idea."

I glared at him, "You are such a pervert."

"Back to a serious matter where have you been?" Damon said and I frowned.

"At Bonnie's making a truce." I answered which was almost honest.

"Oh...how'd that go?"

"Her Grandmother helped me actually she is very sweet." I smiled at him.

"Catrina!" I heard Elena yell downstairs happily.

"Upstairs!" I yelled back and I heard her run up the stairs.

"Thank you for making a truce with Bonnie and her grandmother really likes you." Elena said happily and I smiled.

"You are welcome."

"So it went good?" Stefan walking in putting an arm around Elena's waist. I just nodded in response.

"Good because I think Anna is going to make a move soon." Stefan said. Then my cell phone started ringing.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Hey you must be Catrina. Damon's new girl my name Anna and if you don't help me Jeremy dies." Anna told me.

"Cat help!" I heard Jeremy yell in the background.

"Meet me at Fells Church at midnight or I'll rip Jeremys heart out and his little ring won't help him." Anna sneered then the line went dead.

"Well we have a problem." I sighed. "Anna has Jeremy."

"What?!" Elena gasped.

"Stefan you keep Elena here. Damon come with me I have a plan."
