Chapter 31: Ric's Help

Chapter 31

I looked toward where Damon left feeling heart broken. I quickly dragged Stefan to his feet and practically dragged him to his car. I got in the drivers side and started then pressed down hard on the gas, the tires screeched and pile off dust rolled up and we were gone.

Once we got into the boarding house I did a quick crappy parking and ran inside. I saw Damon standing in front of the fire place with a drink in hand.

"Damon I..."

"Save it! You kissed him! You kissed Stefan!" Damon yelled.

"She what?" I heard Elena say walking in.

"It was litteraly like CPR! He wouldn't take the blood he would of died if I didn't do it!" I yelled, I could feel tears threatening to pour down my face.

"But Stefan kissed you back!" Damon yelled.

"I love you Damon!" I yelled this time crying.

"That's what Katherine said!" Damon yelled back getting in my face this time. We were mere inches apart now.

"But I mean it." I whispered.

Damon eyes wavered for a second then he looked at my lips but he quickly recovered his eyes now had pain in them, "Well I don't care, you have to choose."

"But...I love you." I whispered still crying.

"Just choose." Damon growled then walked away from me throwing his glass in the fire. The glass shattered and the flames grew a bit higher. Then he headed upstairs toward his room.

I turned around and walked out the front door, Stefan tried to stop me but I pushed him away. I pulled out my cell phone and dialed Ric's number.

It rung but Ric finally answered, "Hello?" He answered.

"I need you to save me from myself. I'll be in the woods near Fells Church." I told him then hung up and headed toward the highway and stopped a car and compelled the guy to get out and the woman inside to keep driving. I grabbed his wrist dragging him in the woods wih me. I sank my teeth in his neck and drank the sweet blood but it didn't last long because someone was behind me shooting a revain dart in my neck.

I woke up about an hour later I woke up in Ric's appartment on the couch. I looked around the moderned sized appartment and saw Ric sitting in his chair.

"You're awake." Ric said, with a stake gun in hand. "I wont hurt you Cat, I just dont want you to hurt me."

"I know." I answered.

"Why'd you do that?" Ric asked.

"I kissed Stefan to get blood in his mouth and Damon thought I was kissing him for the hell of it." I answered tears brimming in my eyes.

"So you killed someone because Damon hurt you?" Ric signed rubbing his temples.

"Yeah." I said in a low voice, then I heard his pulse and gasped, the darkness was slowly taking control I started shaking, without Damon this was going to be hard but I could not depend on him.

"Ric I have darkness around me becaus of the transition into part witch part vampire." I told him almost crying, "I'll be like Klaus if I'm not careful."

"Then don't let the bloodlust control you." Ric answered as if it was obvious.

"It's not easy!" I exclaimed.

"Then use blood bags instead." Ric told me glaring a bit.

"I'm getting counseling from my history teacher about bloodlust! What has my life come to?" I sighed.

"Ric open up!" Damon yelled outside Ric's door hanging on it, I shook my head a Ric, "We have a problem."

"It's unlocked." Ric yelled and I shot him a death glare which he shrugged off.

Damon walked in and when he saw me hurt flashed through his eyes, "Nevermind you found the problem."

"I'm the problem Damon? I'm the problem? If you would get it through your thick skull that I love YOU and NOT Stefan we wouldn't be in this situation!" I yelled standing up taking a step toward him. Ric looked a bit shocked by my outburst but stayed seated.

"Well until you prove it we are THROUGH!" Damon yelled at me, then I did the last thing I could think of I kissed Damon with as much passion as I could get from my body, Damon was shocked at first but he kissed me back. As I pulled back and looked into his eyes I could see the desire and hurt.

"I'm sorry and I love you." I whispered, Damon looked hesitant at first but I could tell the desire was taking over him.

"I forgive you but never do that again." Damon told me and I nodded.

"Good you two lovebirds can go now." Ric said getting up out of his chair and pushing us out and closing the door.

I laughed a bit and Damon laughed too. Damon headed down the stairs of the appartment building with me following him. Everything felt perfect but I knew it wouldn't be for long with Klaus around.
