The Mysterious Cat

Chapter 48

I had been up all night worry about Rebekah and Caroline well doing a tracking spell. Damon had insisted I got some sleep but I pushed him away. Klaus had tortured Rebekah once and it was bad enough.

    “Good Morning Cat.” Alexis said walking into the living room, “Did you even sleep?”

    “Nope; got some bad news last night.” I mumbled tiredly but took a long sip of the coffee sitting in front of me and shook it off. I could feel darkness brewing deep inside of me between the lack of sleep and urge to kill the darkness was really close. I sighed and headed upstairs ignoring Alexis asking about what had happened.

   I sighed and sat on my bed not daring to close my eyes. I had to stay awake and find Rebekah and Caroline. They needed to be found. Caroline wasn’t half bad once you got to know her so I really wanted to find her.

    Then I was sucked into a vision.

  Cat’s vision

     All I could see was red and nothing else. Then my vision cleared and I was standing in front of Klaus and more the twenty other people. 

     “These are my minions Catrina, now you know what you’re up against. Plus your bloodlust will overcome you sooner or later and you’ll come back to me.”

   “Never!” I growled, then I looked down and I noticed I was standing in a puddle of blood and my fangs extended and I could feel my veins pop out. I saw how horrid I looked also. My eyes were darker than usual when I turned into vampire mode and then my faced calm down and I saw I had dark black eyes.

  End of Vision

     I gasped and sat up and ran to the mirror and looked in my eyes and saw the darkening of color. Maybe it was just because I hadn’t fed in a few days and hadn’t slept all night. I summoned some blood bags and drank them dry and saw the darkness in my eyes go away a bit. I decided to take a nap also and so I did.

     4 hours later

    I woke up refreshed and my eyes were almost back to normal. I took a shower and headed downstairs to find Damon sitting on the couch.

    “When did you get home?” I asked.

    “A couple hours ago, you were asleep.” Damon smiled getting up and pulling me into a tight hug. I gave him a hug back and I buried my head in his chest.

   “What’s the matter Cat?” Damon asked.

    “Nothing Damon, I’m fine.” I lied giving him my best smile, not moving my position.

    “There is something wrong and I know it.” Damon sighed lifting my chin up for I was looking into his icy blue eyes.

    I let out a long sigh, “I had another vision.”

   Damon let out a long sigh also and looked at me worriedly and I winced, I hated it when he worried, “What was the vision about?”

   I told Damon about the vision then buried my head in his chest again, “My eyes ARE darker than usual.”

   “Cat I won’t let Klaus take control of you.” Damon whispered to me then he kissed me hard and I kissed him back.

    “Whoa there you have guests.” Lexi said walking in, “Well Stefan is being a pain, this is worse than usual.”

    “I figured that one out a month or so ago.” Damon told her shooting her his famous smirk.

  Lexi smirked back, “Well I haven’t been here.”
