~Yugi’s P.O.V.~

After that last memory, I’m not sure how to process it. I know that at least answers one of my questions, but yet it raises so many more. Was that the same Goku that’s name keeps being repeated while Yumi sleeps? Is that reason that Yumi’s eyes turn teal when she gets mad? But the one question that really has me on edge: Can I still trust Yumi?

“Yugi?” Yumi asks me as we walk through the darkness that lies in between Yumi’s memories. I lift my gaze off of the floor to face her, “You look distracted. Is something the matter?”

I tense up from Yumi’s question and move my gaze back towards the floor, “No, Yumi it’s nothing.” I said sternly. After I spoke I realized how harsh my tone actually was. I let out a heavy sigh and looked out of the corner of my eye to see Yumi.

She was still wearing the  t-shirt that I had given her. A white t-shirt with a red flaming dragon on the front. On the left side of the shirt were the letters M-A-C, standing for ‘Martial Arts Championship’. That t-shirt was from the year that Yumi had won the Martial Arts Championship. I still remember that day, but I cannot believe that it took me so long to realize that we had met before.

She kept her gaze straight ahead of her, never looking anywhere but to what was in front of her. Her usually star shaped hair is now pulled back into a some-what neat ponytail. The maroon and black stands that could not have been pulled back were pushed behind her ears and the golden bangs hung above her face in their usual place. But what always catch my attention are Yumi’s teal eyes. They are just…I’m not even sure…so lovely. But when I see those lovely teal eyes, inside I miss her beautiful violet eyes.

“We’re here…” I heard Yumi whisper. Than I broke my gaze from her and looked forward. The sight before me was one so familiar but why?

We ended up at the Martial Arts Championship. Yumi and I appear side by side in the first row of the stands that face the front of the fighting platform. The platform stands 5 feet above the grass-covered ground in the middle of the stadium. The first row of seats is just above the floor of the platform. And in front of us-beyond the fighting platform- is the building that holds all of the competitors.

The sound of drums begins to fill the air and a man with blonde hair and sunglasses steps forward into the middle of the ring. “Hello everyone!” The crowd begins to cheer wildly in response to the man in the suit, “Sorry for the wait, we were having some difficulties on deciding the winner of the last match.” I remember that. The last ballet of competitors K.O.ed each other at the exact same time. So they had to wait for the first one to wake up before a winner was declared, “Anyways, we have an exciting pair up for the final match of the Championships. And I would like to introduce the first competitor…”

Then from the screen I see a tall teenage boy step out and begin to walk towards the ring. The boy wore a white, spandex shirt that cut off at in the middle of his upper arm and showed every muscle on his toned upper body. Then on the bottom he wore black pants that looked as though they belonged to a karate gi. He had a thick head of silver hair and his eyes the color of blood. Could that possibly be…

“…At only 16 year’s old, he is the reigning champion of this tournament and is looking to keep his title. Everyone put your hand together for…Sebastian Simmons!” The crowd cheered for the young male, but inside I cringed at the sound of his name. I looked over to Yumi, her jaw clenched and her hands balled into fists. She is not happy. Sebastian took center stage and threw his fist into the air, as if he had already won. Every girl I could see had a poster that said something along the lines of; “We love you Sebastian! <3” or “Go Sebastian! <3”. Either way they had a heart on them.
