It had been a couple of days, maybe a week or even more, Savannah wasn't exactly sure how long she had been in this hospital bed. Ms. McCall had been watching over her, keeping a close eye and making sure she was recovering nicely. Which she was. Savannah was gathering a bit of her strength back, Ms. McCall helping her with physical therapy to help build her strength back.
But all Savannah could think about was her parents.
Where were they? Why weren't they there? Did something bad happen to them or did they abandon her? What could she have done to make them hate her so much to just leave her?
Savannah stared outside the window of her hospital room, watching as the rain hit the window and the rain drops were racing each other to the bottom. Savannah had her eyes closed while she sat in a chair in front of the window, listening to the rain hitting the window as it helped keep her calm. She was messing with her hands, for some reason she couldn't keep them still. It was strange but not the strangest thing to happen so far.
Stiles and Scott were telling Savannah she needed to rest, to gather her strength and even if she didn't recognize their faces.. she had a feeling inside of her that she could trust them. Especially if Derek trusted them and she trusted Derek. But Savannah couldn't think about one thing, there were about a thousand things going through her head. Many of which she couldn't explain and some she tried not focusing on. She felt a void inside of her, an emptiness...
Savannah had her eyes closed, messing with her hands when she heard someone knocking lightly on her door. She didn't bother turning around, already knowing who it was so she just continued to mess with her hands as she silently counted to herself.
"Hey..came to see how you were feeling." She heard Scott's voice as he slowly stepped closer to her, a bouquet of flowers in his hands. They were sunflowers, her favorite. It was fitting, they were yellow and reminded her of the sun instead of the darkness and emptiness she was feeling inside of herself. Or at least the shell of herself because that's all she felt like right now.
a shell.
Scott noticed Savannah messing with her hands, seeing her counting to herself before he lightly grabbed her hands to keep them steady. Savannah flinched, looking at Scott with wide eyes as he put his hands up. Once Savannah relaxed, she apologized for scaring him.
"Sorry..I-I'm fine..just a bit jumpy still." Savannah said quietly, only Scott's werewolf hearing would have heard her and luckily he did. "My hands..-th..they won't stop shaking. It's just..-just nerves they said."
Scott nodded his head, crouching down next to her chair. "My mom says you're getting better, you're getting stronger everyday just gotta keep up the work.." Scott said, hoping this would give Savannah some piece of mind but she just kept staring out the window. "Umm..good news. My mom says you'll be getting out of here in a few days..-"
"And go where?" Savannah interrupted Scott. She pulled her eyes away from the window and stared at Scott. Scott took note in the confused yet sad look in her eyes. "Where am I supposed to go?"
"Home..you can sleep in your old bed and get out of this room." Scott said.
