❝ I'm gonna pick your brain and get to know your thoughts
So I can read your mind when you don't wanna talk..❞
As Savannah was walking up to the loft, she heard something. It sounded like someone messing with guns and she ran up the remaining stairs, pulling the door open to see Derek standing there getting disarmed by some woman. Without thinking, she ran up to the woman, growling and pushing her back to keep her away from Derek. She fell to the floor with a thud as Derek placed a hand on her shoulder, telling her it was okay and that the woman wouldn't hurt anyone.
"Savannah, it's okay. This is Braeden, she's teaching me about guns.." Derek said as Savannah relaxed a bit. She felt her fangs go back as she went over to Braeden, apologizing and helping her up.
Braeden just shrugged her shoulders, giving Derek a smirk. "So you must be the infamous Savannah i've been hearing about." Savannah looked slightly confused before asking what she meant, to which Braeden said it was nothing. Derek noticed a certain look on Savannah's face and could already tell that something happened. Derek quietly asked Braeden to leave, to which she replied no problem. "I'll just leave these here so you can practice more, get better antiquated." Braeden smirked before picking up her bag to leave.
That's when Savannah noticed the guns all laid out on the table. "Wait, I thought you hated guns?" Savannah raised an eyebrow at Derek, smiling a little to herself, instantly forgetting how mad she was. Derek had that effect on her now a days, he could calm her down when all she felt like doing was ripping someone's throat out. It was a job that Stiles once held, not so much anymore....
Derek shrugged his shoulders, unsure of what to say but luckily for him, Braeden stepped in. "He wanted to learn..to protect someone he loves." And with that, she walked out of the loft to leave the two of them alone.
Savannah looked over at Derek with a small smirk on her face, asking him who he loved. I mean, Derek mentioned how he hated guns from being shot and what not, so whoever it was that made Derek want to learn must be someone pretty special to the big guy.
"Does this have to do with you losing your werewolf abilities?" Savannah asked, earning a slightly confused look from Derek, making her roll her eyes. "You're not the only one who can tell when someone's lying, I know you just as well as you know me..I don't need to hear your heartbeat to know something's wrong...is it bad?"
Derek sighed, nodding his head. "My eyes, my sense of smell, everything..but you don't need to worry about me."
Savannah quickly shook her head at Derek, stepping closer to him and grabbing his hand in her's. "I'm always going to worry about you.." She whispered, staring straight into his eyes.
