Rilaya- She doesn't like me at all

Chapter 5-protect Lucas?!

Yeah I decided to post today aha! Thanks to those who are voting for this story :p
       She could see Riley's pleading eyes and stood herself up.
'Please don't do this Peaches' Riley asked.
'Peaches??' This replaced Maya's anger with confusion.Riley seems to be good at doing that.
       Riley hadn't let go of Maya's hand and she wasn't sure whether it was because she was afraid that she'd hit Lucas and get into serious trouble if she did or just because she didn't want to feel disconnected from her.
'What's the matter hart...gone soft!' Was heard from the crowd.This snapped them out of there trance.
'You really wanna test me billy!' Maya spat moving towards him.
'Woah woah no way I'm just saying noones won yet' he stated holding his hands up in surrender. The dude was so much taller than Maya and yet he still backed down from her like a scared animal moving away from its predator.

'She won't hit me' Lucas exclaimed studying the situation. 'Not with her good influence over there' he snickered and turned to walk away.
        Something in Maya snapped and she went for him then punched him square in the nose causing him to bleed.
'Aahhhh' Lucas was caught by surprise and just stumbled away.

'Wouldn't count on huh that Huckleberry now don't get in my way again' Maya shouted after him.
      Some people just cheered and others muttered.
'Haha now that's a way to end a fight'
'Of course she won she's a badass'
'How did Matthews even have the guts to try and protect Lucas'

Those two words 'protect Lucas' ran round her mind as she stared at the person who's mouth they came out of.
    'Hey you okay' Riley looked concerned as Maya silently stared.
       'Yeah hmm' She pulled herself together before saying
'Shouldn't you be asking hopalong over there' she scoffed. Smiling at her achievement.
'Maya this isn't a good thing'
'I'm not a good thing' Maya almost shouted. Why didn't Riley understand this.
'Yes you are peaches' Riley touched Maya's arm and she looked at her.
'What's with the peaches?' she asked her face scrunching up at the name rather than acknowledging Riley's burning touch.
'You stole my peaches of my tray at lunch and it's actually not the first time you've done it' Riley smiled as The blonde gave her a look.
'What I think it's fitting' she continued
'It's so not me' Maya raised an eyebrow.
'It's the you I know' Riley spoke cautiously as to not upset Maya's reputation.
'You know nothing about me babe' Maya said a matter-of-factly.
'Then tell me about you' Riley said before being interrupted by an enthusiastic Farkle.

'Omg you were like ''bam''And he was like ''ahh'' then Riley was all like 'no' and you were like ''punch'' haha' Farkle all hyped up exclaimed.
'Umm what do you call this thing' Maya said pulling at Farkle.
'I call him a Farkle' Riley said
'Why would you do that?' Maya asked confused once again.
'Cause that's his name' Riley didn't seemed to understand her confusion.
'Your name is Farkle!' Maya asked shocked but laughing a little at the discovery.
'We've been in the same history and chemistry class since the beginning of high school Maya.' Farkle spoke slightly offended.
'Huh oh yeah' Maya brushed it off.

'So why'd you stop Maya Riley' Farkle asked changing the subject 'was it to protect Lucas.'
Protect Lucas...protect Lucas....protect Lucas. Maya's blood began to boil at those to words once again playing on repeat in her head. Maya almost growled in response to this before ultimately making a blind decision.
       Farkle and Riley became muted sounds and Maya just flipped and grabbed Riley's wrist dragging her away from everyone including the Farkle. When she reached the closet she pushed Riley inside and followed behind without another thought.

Yeah so this happened. Sorry it's so short next chapter will be longer I promise :p
