Chapter 8: Beauty

Just a heads up I will be changing the way Laza's family acts from how Katniss's family is.

Anakin's POV

We were now making a trip to Tatooine. Laza and I were on a two day retreat while Obi Wan teaches Ahsoka a few things.

Laza wanted see her family I figured I'd visit my step brother Owen and his wife Beru.

"I can't wait for you to meet my sister, she's pretty shy but once she's comfortable she'll be more open," Laza explained.

"She sounds adorable," I said.

Laza laughed at my remark. I landed the ship in the outskirts of the desert so we wouldn't draw attention.

"Ready?" I asked.

"Yeah," she breathed. We walked down the ramp and made our way to the house her family lived in.

Laza opened the door, "Mom? May?" She said loudly.

"Laza?" a young girl with blonde hair said, "LAZA!"

"Mom! Laza came to visit!" She yelled and hugged Laza.

"Hey Duckling," Laza laughed hugging her back.

"Laza," he mom smiled hugging her, "we've missed you. And you brought a boy with you..."

"Ugh!" Laza sighed and shook her head.

"I can assure you ma'am it's not like that," I told her.

"How do you not marry someone that cute," her sister loudly whispered to Laza.

"Oh shut up, no attachments kid," Laza argued.

Her sister laughed at her.

"Well, to have a proper introduction, Anakin this is May, May this is Anakin," Laza introduced us.

Laza's POV

I helped my mom clean up after lunch while Anakin waited in the living room so we could go visit his family and be back before the council noticed.

"He's cute," my mom said.

"Mom!" I said loudly.

"What he is and I know you think he is too," she pushed.

"He is but attachment isn't allowed and he was married to someone else I got him to tell me that a while ago," I said.

"So you're not allowed to have feelings but he is?" She said.

"No he went against the order and his wife is Darth Empress who he kinda divorced," I added.

"Ohh," my mom said.

We made it back to the ship by sunset before the sand people came out.

"You're family was very... uh," he laughed.

"Crazy? Yeah," I said.

"No they're wonderful but they were a little pushy when it came to me and you," he said.

"Well, they didn't shut up about that either and you're family was very sweet," I said.

"Thanks," he said, I just realized how close we were to each other.

I gazed into his blue eyes, this can't be happening. He cupped his hand around my face. We each leaned in and he kissed me softly. I kissed back, I knew it was wrong but it also felt so right.

We broke the kiss, "we shouldn't have done that," I breathed.

"I know, but we did," he said softly.

"Yeah," I whispered.

"You're so beautiful," he said.

I smiled, we got back on the ship and traveled back to Coruscant. The kiss played through my head non stop.
