Chapter 22: Master vs Student

Anakin's POV

I looked over at Obi Wan checking to see if Laza was still alive.

"You turned her against me!" I yelled blaming him.

"You have done that yourself," he told me.

"YOU WILL NOT TAKE HER FROM ME," I yelled after taking off my cloak.

"Your anger and your lust for power have already done that," he removed his cloak and we began circling each other, "you have allowed this dark lord to twist your mind until now, until now you have become the very thing you swore to destroy."

"Don't lecture me Obi Wan, I see through the lies of the Jedi. I don't fear the dark side as you do. I have brought peace, freedom, justice, and security to my new empire," I said.

"Your new empire?" he questioned.

"Don't make me kill you," I hissed.

"Anakin, my allegiance is to the republic, to democracy!" he shouted.

"If you're not with me, then you're my enemy," I said.

"Only a Sith deals in absolutes. I will do what I must," he said igniting his lightsaber.

"You will try," I said. I did a backflip igniting my lightsaber.

I landed on my feet and my lightsaber clashed with Obi Wan's. We flew back and forth clashing our lightsabers, swinging at each other and blocking each other's attacks. We battled our way off the platform and into the meeting area located in the base.

As we battled our way in we passed the  Separatists that I killed. I grabbed Obi Wan's neck and began to choke him with my mechanical hand. Instead of trying to drive him to unconsciousness, I began to squeeze the life out of him. He kicked me away before I could finish him off.

He knocked me down kicking away my lightsaber. He grabbed his and went for the kill, I used the force to grab my lightsaber and stopped him from killing me. We began clashing our lightsabers until we each used the force to push each other away. I have to admit he was more powerful than me, I'd never say it out loud though. We each ended pushing each other back into control panels on opposite sides of the room.

I jumped up and sprinted across the meeting area to Obi Wan. Just as I began to swing at him he moved away causing my lightsaber to hit the control panel. I didn't really notice that I shut down the lava shields.

We battled out the door. I kicked Obi Wan's stomach, he scrambled to his feet and jumped down onto a narrow pipe. If you weren't balanced correctly you would fall into the depths of burning lava. I followed. Obi Wan going backwards, I forwards. We each ran for cover when the lava spurted up onto the platform we were on. We each hid one person on one side of the pillar and the other person on the other. We swung at each other a few times. The lava splashed onto the narrow platform burning it to nothing. The pillar was separated from the platform. Obi Wan began to climb the pillar. I followed lashing at him every few steps.

We reached the top of the pillar when Obi Wan grabbed a rope. I hopped on as well. We passed each other and clashed lightsabers. Obi Wan jumped off onto a piece of the platform floating in the lava river. I jumped back on the pillar just as it was about to drop down the lava fall. I sprinted and jumped onto a droid that was decently close to Obi Wan. I drew my lightsaber, and we began battling each other. "I have failed you Anakin, I have failed you," Obi said.

"I should've know the Jedi were plotting to take over," I responded.

"Anakin, Chancellor Palpatine is evil!" he shouted.

"From my point of view the Jedi are evil," I threw back.

"Well then, you are lost," he said with a pang of sadness in his voice.

We stood there staring at each other floating up the river.

"This is the end for you my master," I said.

Just as Obi Wan began to swing at me I jumped over him and on the other side of the platform. Our lightsabers clashing back and forth. Our lightsabers locked together. Obi Wan broke away and jumped onto land above. I stayed on the platform.

"It's over Anakin! I have the high ground," Obi Wan threatened.

"You underestimate my power," I threw back.

"Don't try it," he said. I ignored his statement and jumped.

He swung at me. He was a hair away from cutting off my limbs and he missed. I landed in front of him. We clashed our lightsabers up the hill and on to a different platform.

I saw the Chancellor and a tied up Jedi Council. I saw Obi Wan slightly let his guard down and his eyes widen at the sight of the Jedi. I was able to strike him unconscious. The Chancellor tired him up along with the rest of the Jedi.

Laza's POV

I woke up on the platform, where is everyone?

I shut my eyes and took a deep breath. I walked towards a different platform, I sensed Anakin, Palpatine, and the Jedi Council.

I crouched behind a rock, what am I going to do?
