Chapter 8: Fears

Laza's POV

I stood in the temple thinking. Anakin has been acting different lately. I feel like he's being influenced by the dark side. I decided to do some investigating.

I went to the library and started reading through books. Darth Empress, The Sith, Count Dooku, Assassins, Sith History, and I finally found one useful, Darth Sodious, huge book!

I started reading through. This will take forever.

"Anything you need help finding?" Master Nu asked.

"Um, not right now, I just need to read through this to find out some fact," I said.

"Well let me know," she said.

"Thank you," I said as she walked away.

Anakin's POV

Today I had to train Ahsoka, she'll be ready to face the trials soon. I had her do some warm ups. Just reflecting lasers.

"Master, where's Laza?" She asked.

"I don't know where she is... I saw her this morning and there aren't any missions today," I said. Now I'm worried.

"Well, after training today you should look for her," Ahsoka suggested.

"Good idea, I was only planning on only doing one exercise today anyway," I said.

"Of course you were," she laughed.

Laza's POV

I FOUND IT! "Darth Sidious is disguised as a politician in the Republic. Specifically, ----." It was ripped out of the book?! Argh!

I just wasted three hours of my life on this worthless book! Well at least I know he's a politician in the Republic, enough of those around though!

I went over to the computers and started researching Sidious. The second I find out who it is I'll investigate them just in case my findings are false. Then if I'm right I'll turn them into the council, if I'm wrong I'll get back to this or continue my normal military life.

Time for exhausting research, ughhh!

Anakin's POV

Ahsoka and I clashed lightsabers for a training exercise. She kept flipping and jumping over me. Her advantage was she had two lightsabers and I had one.

I backed her against the wall and disarmed her. "I won," I laughed.

"I noticed," she panted.

"You use up all your energy to quickly, I admit you flips and tricks are helpful but only when you need them. Your fighting for your life not performing a show," I told her handing her, her lightsabers.

"Thank you, Master," she said still catching her breath.

"Well we're done for the day," I said.

"Go find your girlfriend," my eyes widened when she said that.

I turned around, "she's not my girlfriend! Have you forgotten the Jedi Order?"

"Ooo, you're blushing Master you like her," she laughed.

"You're to childish," I said walking away.

Laza's POV
5 hours later
I started to doze off at the computer. I saw it turn off by itself, I didn't care my head fell in my hands and I actually fell asleep.

I felt someone pick me up. I jumped awake and jumped out of their grasp and drawing back my bow.

I saw it was Anakin who had his hands up am dead backing away.

"DONT SCARE ME LIKE THAT!" I said putting the arrow back in the quiver.

"Sorry, you were sound asleep in the library," he said.

"I'm sorry I thought you were someone trying to abduct me," I said letting out a sigh of relief.

"It's okay," he said hugging me.

"Let's go home," I said.

"Yeah," he said, "what were you researching all day?"

"Master Yoda needed to know something," I lied. I didn't want to lie to him, I really didn't but I had to.

Anakin's POV
Next day
Laza was out on a mission, I always worry about her. I also was wondering what Master Yoda had her look up.

I went to see Master Yoda, "Master," I called getting his attention.

"Oh, Young Skywalker," he said.

"What did you have General Starkiller look up yesterday?" I asked him.

"Tell her to look anything up, I did not. See her yesterday, I did not. You ask, why?"

"She was looking something up all day and said it was for you," I said. I can't believe she lied to me.

"Sorry, I am, Young Skywalker," he said.

"Oh it's not your fault," I said.

"May the force be with you," he said.

"May the force be with you," I replied before walking away.

She lied to me! She actually lied to me! I can't believe her.

Laza's POV

I got home from Alderaan and saw Anakin standing on the balcony leaning on the railing.

I walked over to Anakin and rested my head on his shoulder. He pushed me over, "we need to talk."

"Okay?" I said.

"Why'd you lie to me about the library," he said raising his voice.

Shoot! "Ani-" he cut me off.

"You didn't need to lie to me! You know you can tell me about anything! Why?!" He yelled.

"Please, calm down and listen to me alright," I said trying to calm him down.

"No, listen to me, I don't understand why you'd lie to me! I thought you wouldn't do something like that!" He continued yelling.

I started to back away as tears welled in my eyes. He followed me. "I-I can't tell you," I said afraid to tell him.

"Why?!?! I can't believe your doing this!" He yelled pointing at me. It made me think of the nightmares I had about him trying to kill me.

Anxiety ran through me and I ran out of the apartment and down the street crying. I can't do this anymore!

I went to the temple to get my ship and decided to take a trip to Tatooine to see my family. While Anakin was gone I went to see them a few times. I need a break from all this fear and stress!

Hey guys!! Since no one commented what they wanted... I decided that I'll do a trilogy. Honestly I've written so much I already finished this book and will start the second one soon! But there is 28-29 chapters in this part of the book so yeah. I hope you're enjoying many crazy things coming in the future. I might start updating this twice a day so we can each be on the second book. I don't know I'm thinking about it.
