Chapter 10: In Charge

Anakin's POV

We sat in a council meeting, I sensed Laza sitting outside the door.

"So, Grievous has bases on every planet in our galaxy," Master Ki-Adi Mundi said.

"They are starting to kill off everyone on the planets, we have to send the armies out," Master Windu said.

"I agree," Obi Wan said.

"Wait, but we can't make that decision," I pointed out.

"We can if we need to," Master Mundi said.

"Yes, but I still feel it's right to consult with the General, she always knows what's best for the army," I pointed out.

"But-" Master Windu was cut off by a loud explosion.

Laza burst threw through the door, "we're under attack we need to get to the bunker under the temple, the clones are on their way along with the politicians," she said.

We all ran to the bottom of the temple. We ran down almost a million stairs! I reached the bunker and caught my breath, everyone was there but Laza!

I began running up the stairs, "WHERE ARE YOU GOING?!" Obi Wan yelled.

"To get Laza!" I shouted.

Laza's POV

I got caught under a stone as a building crashed down. I yelled for help but it didn't work.

A metal bar came down and hit my head. I blacked out...

Anakin's POV

I searched around, where is she? I sensed her, Laza where are you?

She wasn't answering. Ugh, I can't let her die...

I saw a brown braid from under a stone piece. I ran over and saw Laza's temple bleeding. I used the force to move the stone and ran down the stairs because the doors we gonna close in the seconds.

I began to slide down the railing which sped me up. I just made it through the metal door.

Walked to where everyone was, in front of the army waiting to discuss a battle plan.

The council and politicians stood in front of the army. Probably waiting for Laza to tell them a battle plan.

When they saw her lifeless body in my arms they all gasped. She as just barely alive, I felt her heart beating.

I laid her on the ground placing her head on my lap. She stopped bleeding.

"What has happened?" The Chancellor asked.

"Half a of building collapsed on her," I said holding back the tears that threatened to spill from my eyes. I stroked my fingers along her cheek.

"We must stop the Separatists from doing anymore of this," the Chancellor said, "you must go to their system and destroy them!"

So many people agreed. Commander Cody and Captain Rex came over to me. "If I know Laza she wouldn't make us go through with a stupid plan like that," Cody said.

"I know but he's the highest in power here," I sighed.

"Yes, but not of the military," Rex pointed out.

"We can't do anything though she's unconscious and dying," I teared up.

I looked at Laza, please, wake up, for me...

They started to make the Chancellor's plan more real by setting up our ships.

Laza laid on the ground, I had to stand with the council.
