Anakin's POV
I woke up at dawn the next morning. I walked out to the kitchen and ate a few pieces of fruit.
I went back to my bedroom and changed into my Jedi robes. I put my lightsaber in the holster on my belt.
I stepped outside and saw Laza sitting in the field. I walked over to her and sat down next to her.
"Morning," she said.
"Morning," I replied.
"Quick question, do you think Senator Amidala was taken or ran away?" She asked.
"In the beginning I thought she was taken because she left out of nowhere and it's just not like her to run off like this. At the moment I think she ran away because of the very scratched message she sent the council saying she'd be in this area soon," I explained.
"Well I don't know her so I wouldn't know, but I sorta had a feeling she ran off to do something important to her," she added.
"Oh, well I guess I could understand that," I shrugged.
"Eh," she shrugged.
I grabbed one of her arrows and examined sharp sleek wood. "So you're trained with two weapons." I said.
"You haven't seen me fight, I could be a terrible shooter and a good swordsman or vice versa," she pointed out.
"True but why carry one around if you're not fully trained with it?" I asked.
"You got a point," she said.
"Why do you carry this around anyway?" I questioned.
"Like my lightsaber this weapon is my life I was trained to use it when I was younger so I could protect my family," she explained.
"Where do you come from," I asked.
"Tatooine, I'm a rescued slave," she told me, "you?"
"Same, I was freed when I was nine," I explained.
"Well I guess we've got something in common," she smiled.
I chuckled. She put the arrow back in her quiver.
"It's so peaceful here, it's sad the war has to shoot up everything, everywhere," she sighed.
"I know right," I agreed.
"I'll never understand the Separatists," she shook her head.
"What's that," I said pointing at a pin on her shirt. The pin was gold with some type of bird with an arrow in its mouth.
"A pin that I originally got for my sister, but before I left she gave it to me," she explained.
"Oh, I don't have any siblings and my mother died not to long ago," I told her.
"I'm sorry. What about your father?" She asked.
"Don't have one," I said.
"Oh he left," she said.
"No, I literally don't have a father," I told her.
"How is that physically possible?" She laughed.
"I don't know," I shrugged.
"So why were you taken back to Coruscant and trained?" She asked.
"Qui-Gon found me and thought I was the chosen one and wanted to train me, but be was killed. Then Obi Wan trained me," I told her.
"Woah, woah, woah slow down here you're the chosen one?!" She said.
"Thought to be. No one knows, Obi Wan said I have a higher midichlorian count than Master Yoda," I told her.
"So do I and I'm not hearing any chosen one praise on me!" She said.
"What? You have that high of a midichlorian count?" I asked.
"Yeah, why I was trained," she nodded.
"Interesting," I said.
"Well, Master Kenobi will be looking for us, we best be getting back," she said standing up.
"Okay," I agreed and we walked back up to the house.
