Chapter 36

It's been a couple days, and Ethan wanted to go out for lunch today during his lunch break. But just as friends, since him and the girl he's been seeing is official now. I headed over to his work building to pick him up, and I headed inside with the pass I have. As I entered to the room he's working at, I found him near the food table, obviously.

I laughed at myself, and headed over to him. "Why do I always find you near the food?" I giggled.

"Maybe just cause I have no life," he shrugged, and I laughed. "But anyways, are you ready to go?"

"Yeah, let's head out," I replied, swinging my car keys. "Unless you wanna sit and eat all the foot here."

"Nah, I'm good," he chuckled, and I let out a small giggle. Soon enough, we started heading for the doors. But it was until we both heard someone calling for Ethan, and we both turned around to see where it's coming from. "Ethan!" I heard a voice say, and I soon saw Grayson making his way over to us, and also his annoying ass girlfriend Chloe. I rolled my eyes once I seen both of them, and Chloe just gave me a dirty look. "Where you going?"

"Uh, out to lunch?" he said in a 'duh' tone. "It's lunch break."

"Mind if we join?" he asked, and he gave a quick glance towards me.

"Yeah, can we?" Chloe chirped in. "I know this really good restaurant down the street from here!"

"We do mind actually, since we planned this yesterday for us two only," I stated, and I already started dragging Ethan and I away from them.

"I'll pay for all of us if us two can tag along!" Chloe said. I stopped in my tracks, and turned back towards them. I am kinda broke, so I was just gunna let Ethan pay for our lunch. But I guess neither of us have to pay if she comes and pays for all of us. "Sure!" I said with the most fake smile I could ever put on my face. I saw her smirk, and started dragging Grayson along with her. We all started heading towards my car, and I got in the drivers side, with Ethan getting shot gun. The rest piled in the back, and I started driving off to the restaurant Chloe wanted to go to.

The whole ride consisted of Chloe talking about something stupid that she did, and Grayson complimenting her and shit. The ride was only about 10 minutes, and it felt like the longest 10 minutes of my life. I hurried out of my car once we pulled up to the parking spot of the restaurant, and we all headed inside. Since it's nice outside, we all decided on eating outside. We got a table for the 4 of us, and I sat next to Ethan, with Grayson and Chloe in front of us. A waitress also took our orders, and started to put them in.

"So have you heard about the new film I'm starring in?" Chloe announced, and I rolled my eyes as I took a sip from my water.

"Yeah, you got the lead role right?" Grayson asked.

"Yup!" she said in her cocky voice. "How about you Adriana?"

I looked up at her once she said my name, and replied, "Same old, same old."

"Your in college right I think?" she asked, and I nodded. "Funny to think that, cause it seems like you don't do anything but just mope around." I already felt my insides get hot, since she's already pissing me off.

"At least I'm getting a better degree in something that'll be useful in life for me. I don't think that says that I just 'mope around'," I fired back.

"Okay," I heard Ethan say a bit sternly. "Little too early for this."

"It's not me," I said under my breath as I was swinging my straw around in my drink. It was quiet for a few moments, until Grayson asked, "So...what's everyone's summer plans?"
