Adriana's POV

My entire time at the beach consisted of sand, water, and awkwardness. I was completely fine, but every time when I was near Grayson, I felt so nervous and awkward. He talked to me, but I had no idea how respond back... I kept the conversations short between us since it was awkward. I tried to talk to him myself, but I couldn't even try since I was so nervous and scared to.

I mean, it shouldn't be that awkward and weird even if we haven't seen each other in a couple years, but it's just the reason why we broke up. The reason for that is why I don't really wanna be near him and talk to him. That's why I'm acting like I'm shy and like I don't wanna talk to him.

But overall, the beach was fun. It was really fun hanging out with the old friends I used to have when I met them in LA before, and also how I met Cameron. Cameron's really nice and sweet, and super funny too. He's also pretty attractive, but I have to admit he's not as much attractive as Grayson though.

We all swam around in the ocean most of the time since it was hot out, and we also hung around out in the sand. One good thing about today is that there wasn't really that much fans with the guys. Probably since they're all in school, but it's good cause it would probably be a mob scene with all these guys over here.

The day soon came to an end, and Julia and I said our goodbyes to the guys. But we did agree to hang out all together again really soon. I also have to admit saying goodbye to Grayson was a bit awkward too... It was basically just murmuring a 'bye' and a small wave. It could be worse though.

It was only late afternoon with the sun setting, and Julia drove us back home to our apartment. The ride was basically the radio playing, but Julia kept leading me on about Grayson... It still made my stomach turn during our ride back.

By the time we made it back home, I was completely gross. I smelled like beach and my hair smelled like seaweed and sand. I really needed to take a shower, so I told Julia was gunna get in first. As I was picking out a pair of pajama shorts, a tank top, and a sweatshirt, I then remembered I had to type up that paper for my professor.

I groaned, and grabbed my things. I entered the bathroom putting my stuff down on the counter, along with my phone, and I twisted the handle on the shower to start heating the water up.

A few minutes later, I felt the water finally become hot. As I was about to take my clothes off, I felt my phone buzz on the counter. I picked it up, noticing I had an unknown number texting me. I unlocked my phone, texting them back.

Unknown number: Hey
Me: Who's this?
Unknown number: Take a guess
Me: I'm too lazy for guessing
Unknown number: Fine... It's Gray
Me: Seriously?
Unknown number: Ya
Me: How do I know it's you tho🤔
Unknown number: Cause you can trust me☺️
Me: Yeah, idk bout that

He soon left me on read, and wasn't saying anything after that. I don't even know if it's actually Grayson though, but how could he get my number? As I was just about to get in the shower again, my phone soon buzzed again indicating I got a text from that number again. I unlocked my phone to seeing a picture of Grayson, and I could tell he was shirtless. He was also doing the duck face a little too much, and it made me let out a little laugh.

Unknown number: Believe it's me now?
Me: Okay, I do believe it's you😂

I then put him as a contact on my phone under his name, since I believe it's actually him.

Grayson: Good👍🏼
Me: But I wonder how many times it took you take that selfie🤔
Grayson: Many times... I didn't have that good selfie lighting
Me: Aw that sucks for you😜 Now how did you get my number?
Grayson: I had to get it off of Ethan's phone since he wouldn't tell me haha
Me: Oh lmao
