Hey y'all! For some crazy reason Wattpad didn't update the rest of chapter 42 so it left quite a bit off and now I have to remember what I wanted to happen and rewrite it all. I just love technology. Anyways I wanted to thank you all for reading The Unlikeable and soon enough I will be able to update more regularly than I have been. School has just been pretty freaking hectic and I've been doing SAT stuff and looking at Universities/Colleges I want to go to and yeah. And right now I have a sick chest cold and runny nose. I'm pretty sexy with a box of klenex in my bed. ;)
Love you guys so incredibly much xoxo
Emma

"Callie?"I heard my name called as me and Harry walked down the beach while the sun began to set for the night.
I turned to see Jesse running after us from his post at the lifeguard stand.
"Hey," I gave a half smile to him before I turned back around to Harry who grunted as he saw the blonde boy.
"Callie wait," he grabbed my wrist and pulled me back to him.
Harry sounded mad as he came between me and Jesse. "Get the fuck off." Harry pulled me around my waist to get behind him.
"Whoa, listen dude," Jesse raised his hands up defensively. "I just wanted to see how Callie was. I saw the video of her and Alicia. Dude c'mon."
"She's fine," Harry pulled my hand and made me follow after him.
"I'm sorry," I mouthed to Jesse as I softly ran to keep up with Harry.
"I can take you home to get your stuff!" he yelled as Harry stalked off with me.
"Harry!" I pulled back and he looked back at me as if I had slapped him in the face.
"Callie no," he shook his head and gave me a look to follow after him while he turned around and walked down the shore more.
I watched for a million years as Harry walked farther and farther down the beach. I turned to Jesse, my other childhood friend. I wonder if he has betrayed me as well. He was always the big brother of my group here. Jesse always kept an eye out for me. He kept me safe and always was my shoulder to cry on when Alicia wasn't around.
"Jess wait!" I mentally face-palmed myself.
I looked back at Harry and his face was priceless. He was pissed. More than pissed. He was going to start a fight.
"Will you hold on for a second?" I walked up to Jesse with my flip flops hanging in my hand. "I'm going to try to talk to Harry. He's not...very..."
"Social?" Jesse furrowed his brows and looked back at the lost boy on the shore with his hands on his hips waiting for me to come to him.
"Yeah," I nervously laughed and tucked a strand of mangy beach hair behind my ear.
"Alright go talk to him. I'll be by the stand getting my stuff," he nodded his head toward the large lifeguard stand and trotted toward it with sand flicking behind him from his feet.
I grabbed hold of my elbows and walked toward Harry. The closer I got to him, the bigger the anxiety built in my chest. He doesn't need to be so angry all the time. It will make him go mad.
"We're not asking him for a ride," Harry growled as he grabbed my elbow.
"Harry, c'mon," I smoothly grabbed hold of his hand in mine. "Its only for today. Once he takes us to my house we can get our stuff and then we can spend some real quality time together." I wrapped his arms around my waist and bit my lip as I spoke as calmly as I could.
His hands hooked around me and I wound my fingers into his hair behind his neck. I knew he loved it when I did that. So what if I was playing my own sexual game with him. It's not like he hasn't done it to me before.
"We can't Callie," Harry frowned and let go of my hips trying to push me off him.
"Hey," I grabbed his chin so he would look at me. His eyes were dark and tainted by what he happened to do to me last night. "I wouldn't trade you in for the world. So stop acting so gloomy."
"I hurt you baby," he cupped my face in his hands and I rested my cheeks onto his long skillful fingers. His face was distressed and it broke my heart now that I realized how bad he was beating himself up about it.
"I know. But I forgive you," I stood on my tip toes and pecked his nose. "Now let's get going because I'm exhausted and hungry. I still love you Harry. Nothing will change that...ever." I thought back to this morning when I swore to myself that Harry was basically a spawn of satan. I was livid with the marks he put on me, but I was more livid that he didn't love me like I loved him. Just like I told him earlier, I was scared of being vulnerable in front of him.
He squeezed his eyes shut and pulled my elbow to follow him as he walked over to the lifeguard stand. "What are you waiting on brodad?" (brodad-someone you dont really care for...surfing term...) Harry meanly stated to Jesse as he let go of my elbow. I gave Jesse an awkward glance apologizing for Harry. Jesse squeezed my shoulders and ran past Harry to get to his truck.
Jesse was always so proud of this old thing. His dad had handed it down to him from when he was a kid. They lived on this huge acreage that was handed down generations. His dad owned surf shops up the entire Gulf Coast. I remember vacationing with him and his brother, Sandy, when I was little and we went on a huge yacht his dad had rented out for us. I was so in love with Jesse then. We would always hang out and Alicia would get mad because she was always to prissy to go boarding with us because she got a bad surf burn once.
I jumped into the middle of the truck and Harry sat beside me. Jesse's car was old to say the least, it had a bench instead of three seperate seats, and you still had to crank the windows up and down. The clutch was between my legs and I could see Harry staring at me.
"We should switch," Harry stated and I shook my head before he even finished.
"It's fine..." I eyed him and Jess swiftly reached for the clutch between my legs and I thought Harry was going to explode with rage. About thirty minutes later and Harry's insane death grip on my knee cap, we made it to my house. "We'll be right back. I was thinking about staying up at North Shore. Could you take us there?"
"Yeah, definitely," Jesse smiled with his pearly whites and Harry was already pulling me out of the car.
"Ok, we'll be right back," I told him and I quietly went up to my house. I saw Mom's honda here but Stefan's big red truck wasn't in the drive way. So hopefully he wasn't home. Hopefully he had Mike with him too. I wasn't too worried about running into Stefan, but I think Mike might kill Harry if he sees him again and I don't want either of them to be on the news channel tonight.
