"Callie, will you go to homecoming with me?" he asked me. I stood at my locker listening to him babble for the past minute about what he was going to wear.

"Wait, what?" I closed my door and he stood with a single red rose in his outstretched hand.

"Go to homecoming with me," he smirked at me. "Just as friends."

"Logan, I-I don't know," I stuttered pushing back the loose hair that fell from my high pony.

"Am I going to have to beg you?" he continued to smirk at me.

I giggled and took the rose. "I would love to go to homecoming with you, Logan."

"YOU'RE GOING TO HOMECOMING WITH LOGAN?!" Alex yelled at me as we got into Alaric's Range Rover.

"Alex, it's just as friends. And you and Logan broke up like a whole month ago..." I snapped at her.

"It doesn't matter Callie! You're supposed to be my friend! And friend's don't date their friend's exes!"

"I'm not dating him! We're only going as friends. So calm down!" I blared into the back seat.

"Alaric! Tell her she can't go with him! Tell her she's wrong!" she pointed her long, skinny finger at me.

"Alex...She can go with whoever she wants to. It's just a dance," he rolled his eyes at her.

"Exactly," I smacked my lips.

"Whatever," Alex sat back into her seat. "Alaric I would like a different room plan. I can't sleep in the same room with her anymore."

"Why?" I snapped.

"Because you don't sleep! All you do is read your stupid books and write in that stupid journal all night!" she yelled.

"Alex! Stop yelling at Callie," Ric calmly spoke. "And I can get you into the room down the hallway, to the left of the stairs instead of the right. Is that ok?"

"Sounds perfect," she snarled.

I rolled my eyes and stared out the window on our way home. Alex was just upset that her stupid boy-toy picked me over her. Over the last month Logan and I had become pretty good friends considering we had three classes together. He sat by me in both Chemistry and Business Communications so we practically had to talk the whole class period each time. And he sat by me ever since Harry switched places with him in Literature.

Harry had avoided me every bit he wished. I never once caught him so much as looking at me. But I stared at him all the time. He may have damaged me emotionally, but every physical part of my body wanted to still be with him. My legs would want to walk towards his lunch table, my ears would listen to the conversations he had, and my mind was always thinking of him, always looking for him. I would sometimes watch him through our glass window at the boutique when he was working at the music shop just next door. He could be so friendly to people. His smile would light up his face and make his eyes wrinkle at the sides. His dimples making a pit in his cheeks. He was every bit of handsome as he was vulgar. And that I just couldn't understand.

"Cal," Alaric brought me to the real world. I noticed Alex walking up the stone front steps of our house.

"Hmm?"

"I just wanted to make sure it was alright if we go on vacation on your school break in a few weeks before Christmas with James and his family. It'll only be for a week and we can all go fishing up at the cabin and it'll be fun. I promise. Will you be alright though?"

A week with James' whole family? An entire week with them in the same house? With Vincent? With Sabrina? And Harry? "Yeah, I'll be fine."

"Ok," he smirked running into the house. I jumped out and helped move Alex's things over to the room down the hall. We were going to be on opposite sides of the house now. And that actually made me happy. I wouldn't have to deal with her messy bed and her nagging me all the time. I could actually have some peace and quiet to myself.
