Chapter 26

I woke up still in my dress from last night and curled into a small little ball in the middle of my bed. I sat up and felt myself want to gag from all the beer I drank last night. Shoot. I looked outside and at the frozen outdoors of our front yard. Naked trees scattered the land and I suddenly began to really miss the green grass in Florida, the beautiful beaches, and the friends I had down there. Especially Alicia. I grabbed my phone from the corner of my desk and texted her.

Worst night ever. :(( ~Callie

NO! Why?! ~Alicia

Harry... ~Callie

What happened?! ~Alicia

He does drugs...And he lied to me to go do them. ~Callie

HE DID WHAT?! HECK NO! I wish I could be up there with you to talk some sense into his thick skull! THAT FREAKING LOSER! ~Alicia

I wish you were here too. I miss Florida so much. :'( ~Callie

I let a tear escape the corner of my eye and sniffled my nose. I can't be emotional. I have things to do today. People to piss off. People aka Harry. Ugh. I don't want to go to his house. What if he doesn't even remember about last night? He was so drunk and high... What if he never wants to talk to me again? I don't think I'll be able to emotionally handle it if he doesn't want to be a part of my life anymore...

I'll text you and tell you how things go after I go talk to him soon. Did I tell you that earlier this week he wanted to do IT with me?! OMG! I don't think that's happening anymore. We're probably done for good... :( ...Not that I would do it with him anyway. But still.... OMG I don't want to go. Don't make me, Alicia! ~Callie

I pulled on a pair of grey skinny jeans and a purple blouse. I went to the bathroom and did all of my morning routine. Finally, I came out and pulled on my black pea coat and black TOMs and headed towards my Lexus. Hopefully Alex wouldn't be needing it today. If she did...oh well.

I looked in my back seat and there sat Harry's birthday present. Untouched and unopened. Just the small little box I wrapped at Minnie's shop earlier in the week when I found the necklace in the shop. The green of the stone pendant reminded me of his eyes and I was quickly drawn to it. Minnie  had told me it was a one-of-a-kind that one of her local suppliers gave her to sell in the shop. I brought it home to show Alaric and he helped me remove the girly chain on it and put a less longer chain on it. Ric said he loved it for Harry, but I hoped Harry would love it too. I didn't know what to get him and that was the only thing I came up with. 

As I drove up his driveway I could feel the anxiety taking hold in my chest. This was it. The moment I'd been dreading all night long. Thankfully none of Harry's family were home to see it all go down. I didn't need the embarrassment. I mean I was already an outcast in this town, I didn't need his whole family hating me along with him. 

I went up the steps and towards Harry's bedroom. The door was shut and the house was silent. The only sound was my thudding heart from deep within my chest. My hand grabbed hold of the door knob and I turned it slowly to reveal the most disastrous room I have ever seen. Books and cd's were strewn across the floor. His  guitar layed in the midst of it all cracked in half with the arm laying on the other side of the room and the strings flicking up. His music sheets scattered the floor some torn in half and shredded...
