Harry's POV
"Hey mate!" Lenny, the lead singer, pulled me to the side before we went to go on stage to rehearse.
"Yeah what's the problem?" I had my mic in my left hand and my other hand in my jeans pocket.
"You seem buzzed about something. Anything bothering ya?" His hand went through his electric black hair that was shoulder length but buzzed on the sides so it was a long, flat mohawk.
"Nah," I shook my head and walked on stage leaving him and his pestering talk behind.
Except he ran after me. "Mate, mate, mate!"
"Man I said there is nothing wrong with me ok?!" I got in his face with my eyes scorching his inners.
"Fuck man," he pushed my shoulders back and walked away from me. "Need to fucking relax for once."
Shit. I ran my hand through my curls that were getting longer and longer. I needed a cut, but my hairdresser was in another fucking country.
I wasn't going to apologize to Lenny. He was a grown ass man and he can take a little heat from me.
"Harry! You've got a call," a person working backstage brought me a telephone.
"Hello?" I put it to my ear.
"You coming home yet, son?" James spoke through the line. I felt like I haven't seen him in years, but it's only been two weeks.
"No, I'm doing fine," I spoke flatly, not showing any sort of resentment of being here.
"You gunna come home for graduation this weekend? Charles and Daph miss you and I'd really like to see you walk across that stage after everything you've been through throughout the years," I could hear his choked voice and I couldn't help but to feel homesick.
"Yeah, I'll come home for a day, but as soon as it's over I have to fly out again," I promised.
"Harry c'mon! We're running behind!" My new band yelled for me.
"One sec!" I turned my back to them asking James the one thing that's been haunting my dreams while I've been awake and sleeping. "How's Callie?"
He sighed and I could hear the tension building as he fought in his own mind to tell me anything about her, "You told me to never talk about her to you again."
"I need to know," I urged for him to answer me.
"She's...she's not doing well, but it's been two weeks since...the incident. She'll do better in time," but he didn't know Callie like I knew her. She would never forgive me for what I did, but I didn't want her to forgive me. I wanted her to live her life without me and I needed her to forget me.
"I'll see you in two days," I hung up the phone and handed it back to the male that gave it to me.
"Harry! Get your ass over here!" Finn yelled from center stage. He was the one with purple hair and the one I disliked the most.
"Christ, I'm coming!" I yelled back jogging my way to them. I felt Callie's birthday present slap against my chest as I jogged and was reminded of the night she gave it to me. Her sweet smile, her kisses, her lips. 'She'll do better in time'. James' words echoed in my ears. Would I do better in time?
"Harry, look at how big this place is!" Dean put his arm around my shoulder and rubbed his knuckles into my hair.
He was more of my type of friend. He didn't bother to ask how I was or what was on my mind. He was more involved with being apart of nature. Nature being pot leaves. And I liked that.
