Callie's POV

Today was a better day. I didn't think of all the negative that me and Harry went through recently, but only the happy times we spent together, which may be far from few but they were still the most magical and true moments of my life. I cleaned myself up in his combined tub and shower duo in the bathroom and when I got out I heard rumbling at the front door. Shoot, the people from Home Depot were here to install the cabinets and counter top.

"I'll be there in a sec!" I screamed while shoving a pair of jeans on and one of Harry's old black-turned-grey tshirt's over my head without a bra for a quick moment.

I ran to the door and two men stood waiting by their work truck.

"I apologize. Please come in and let me show you where the kitchen is," I opened the door and crossed my arms over my chest while I watched one guy look at my boobs. They walked in and I shut the door behind them.

"The kitchen is in here and this is where I want the counter top to be and ..." I continued on with my plan to make this a safe haven for Harry when he returns. I wanted it to be everything he never had. He needed a place to come home to when he thought there wasn't ever a place for him to go. I was going to put everything he ever loved in here and I was going to make it work perfectly. Sure it was with his hidden money that I found but I knew that's what he was hiding and stealing it for. He just wanted somewhere to be alone.

I went back to his bedroom down the hallway from the living room and hid the toy from last night back in the shoe box. Suddenly my cheeks flushed and I took my panties from last night and put them in the shoe box with the vibrating dildo. How flirty of me, he was going to be hard with one look and he deserves it too. I put it back under the bed and cleaned up the loose clothing from the floor due to the numerous nights I'd been spending there lately.

I hung up some of his old plain shirts that were never hung before and found the huge bag of cash I had hidden in there from when I took it and put it all in one of my totes. No one would go through my things and they definitely wouldn't be looking for this much cash. I still had two thirds of the cash left. I could buy him new furniture? No! I should get him a new guitar and piano for the place. Yes! That would be perfect!

When I finished cleaning and the two men went to McDonalds for a break, I told them I would be in town for a while, but I would be back before they left to pay them. I grabbed my tote full of money and waited for Alex to pick me up at the end of the trail where the main street hit alongside the gravel road.

"Where the fuck am I Callie?" She looked around disgusted and confused.

"My friend lives down here," I avoided eye contact and ungracefully plopped in our shared car. The tote opened and all of the money was open for display.

"Shit Callie! Are you selling drugs?!" She was still driving down the road as she yelled at me, flabbergasted that I had all this money.

"What? It's nothing. Don't worry about it."

"Don't worry about it?! Callie you have at least ten thousand dollars in there and that's being considerate!" She was obviously shaken about my current status in her mind as a drug dealer. I wish I was a drug dealer and not dealing with separation anxiety from the best friend I'd ever had.

"SHUT UP! Just don't tell Alaric or anyone! I'll tell you, but you have to promise Alex," I gave her a look and she gasped surprised that I had doubted her inability to keep a secret.

"Tell me what it's from. I can't keep any promises," she shook her head and shrugged her shoulders.

"If you tell, I'll tell Ric about the time Minnie caught you smoking and drinking with Ian outside the store," I smirked at her and she knew I was going to have to use that against her at some point.
