Back to underworld. King's castle.

The council sat quietly behind the round table, lined with candles with dripping wax. There was luxurious wood carved on the arm rests on each fancy table, which placed twelve members. Subtle hint of expensive and red silky curtains landed from high ceilings and scattered on black shiny floor, forcing a dramatic contrast to twelve pairs of sharp horns.

Huge chandeliers hanged from murmur ceiling, adding a royal atmosphere to the meeting room.

The old throne stood in the end of the table. It's tall headrest flaunted with massive deer horns, decorated with gold and sharp roubins as a crown, resembling power and authority.

The council patiently waited for a king to come in and take his honorable place.

But the king wasn't showing up and was dramatically late, making tension build in the air.

Twelve members of evil demons kept waiting. They all were alerted, for a new threat was coming their way, according to the prophesy and today, at this very hour, in the meeting hall, it was oath to be discussed.

The council members were loyal for their king, Duke Eligos, who was ruling the underworld for many years already. Duke was a powerful leader, fearsome, but in the same time righteous and trutful for his believers.

But something bad had happened, which triggered the prophesy and turned peaceful home into bloody chaos.

The hereditary of Furfur, the next heir for the throne finally discovered the truth about his purpose. By committing a suicide and becoming immortal soul locked up in a human body, he threw the prophesy away, putting the underworld at risk. Soon the evil souls turned into a mess of uncontrollable legions of demons, without a king to guide them, they lost the connection with their home.

Disbalance, disobedience and terror settled upon the underworld kingdom, making the world on the surface drown in fear.

Taking over the ground, as the sulfur river started boiling with all it's power and making horrible stench fill the air, it took over the ground first, making beautiful green forests freeze and dry. The rivers were full of dead fish, being thrown to the shore more often.

And then the birds. The mist of sulfur was impossible to see, but the birds were showing signs of heaviness in the air.

Mr.Haynes, however, never wanted this authority and so the Duke decided to ban him from the living and stay the only heir for the throne, the only king. Being the last of his kind he wanted to be the ruler for eternity.

Loyal council members had their use from the Duke. Each and everyone of them had their own sick needs, twisted desires and power, granted from their kind.

But Mr.Haynes wanted nothing, but the girl.

Human girl.

"How is this possible,"-the youngest demon smiled sadly, his wrinkled fingers tapping the table nervously,-"to love another live-being with it's pathetic world, without taking care of your own world first?"

"Humans!"-the older demon roared. "They understand nothing!"-being almost 500 year old he had seen the world changing fast and not in a good way. "Impulsive and weak. They feed, they fuck and raise armies of same pathetic walking bone bags."

"How sad to be dependent on your heart."

"Heart?"-the leader of the council laughed, his low voice disturbing calmness and echoing around so loud, the others froze. "It's not even beating."

The old demon stood up, fixing his black velvet cowl and with a wave of his hand he threw it backwards, stepping towards the stained window. "Yet,"-he breathed,-"We might never understand this passion which only a human can feel. What is this love?"-he turned to face his members,-"Love for your creator, on the other hand, your king and your kingdom, we all get it. But this? I do not understand this."
