Who does he think he is? I thought to myself.

"Lauren I'll give you the amount you'll say."

I thought for a minute, maybe then I could be able to change my family's current situation-go to college.

"Let me think about it Seth."

"Okay. You have two days." He stood up and left.

I stood and went over to Charlie for other tables, he looked confused. "Are you okay dear?"

"Yeah yeah I am fine."

"Its alright. You know I'm here for you."  I nodded. Charlie was a like father to me, helping me with my mess, listening to me. He was a nice person.

I laid on my bed, thinking about Seth's offer. Maybe I should accept it.

No Lauren. This is wrong. Your parents won't approve.

I know ; but this would help them, I can't see my mother working all day and night. She needs rest.

What if Seth's mother finds out?

Oh! I need to ask him about this.

What if you messed up again?

But whats wrong in trying? I mean I could do it...be a professional. With all these thoughts swarming around my mind,  I fell asleep.

I woke up to the sound of my alarm, took a quick shower and wore a white T-shirt with black jeans and a black flannel, black converse. Yeah, I be black obsessed .

I took a bus to library, okay this was a huge one, I could almost get lost in it. Charlie gave me a day off ; cause he clearly saw my frustration so I could spend more time in here. I went  to one of the corners while holding a huge pile of books related to business and stuff. I found my peaceful corner and was about to move towards it.

"Hey."

I jumped at the sight of a figure standing in front of me. My heart almost skipped a beat. My books fell to the ground.

"What the hell Seth! You scared me." I said and crouched to gather up the books. I stood up and looked at him. He was wearing a blue v- neck shirt and  black trousers. His hands stuffed into his pockets.

"Are you following me?" I snapped and move towards the designated corner.

"Uh yeah. You can say that." He smirked and I rolled my eyes.

I sat down placing all the books on the ground. I took one and started reading the first chapter. I felt someone plop beside me, Seth. Of course who else could it be.

"So did you think about the offer?" He finally broke the ice.

"No. I'm still thinking about it."

"Then why are you reading business books?"

I scowled at him, "That's none of your concern."

"Well it is my concern cause I'm giving you the Clavane name."

I sighed. "Well does that mean I'll be your sister."

"No! I mean I'll keep you in my friend zone or more." He smirked.

"Whatever. I have some questions." I said closing the book in my hand.

"Okay. Ask away." He shrugged.

"What if your mom finds out?"

"Um. She rarely comes here and if she did come here I'll cover you up."
