Chapter 9

Lauren POV

I woke up with a smile on my face for no heck reason. I took a quick shower, wore a blue short dress it was plain yet elegant. After being Lauren Clavane, I got my own personal designer from whom I could get best dresses. I look at my reflection and a smiled appeared.

I went downstairs quickly, Alicia and Seth were having breakfast. I moved my legs quickly so I couldn't get caught by Susan.

"GIRL!" A loud voice echoed the room. I sighed and turned around. She glared at me but I made an innocent puppy face. I know that would work.

"Breakfast." She said coldly. I pouted and quietly sat on the chair across Seth. He was grinning at me.

I ignored his stupid facial expression and concentrated on my french toast. Hayden came into my sight, "Good morning." He smiled. "Morning." I couldn't help but blush, he was very sweet. He sat beside me. My eyes turned towards Seth, I could see anger flaring up in his dark brown eyes. He was still staring at me ; not with sweetness , but anger.

I was scared.

Suddenly Seth's phone start ringing. He picked it up, why can't he look away?! . He answered in his deep cold voice.

"Hello?"

I couldn't hear what the person was saying on the other line. His brows furrowed at me.

"Its mine now , remember. I'll do whatever I want." He said, his hands turned into a fist. I bit my bottom lip in nervousness.

"Fine mom. Bye. I love you." He hung up.

"What did you do?" Seth tilted his head.

"What?" I said. I was confused.

"You fired the legal adviser and a family friend." He was so damn calm.

"Uh I told you last night everything. He was the reason why our company was getting into financial crisis." I told him keeping myself calmed.

"And he was working with Treysor's." Hayden added.

"Okay. I'll let mom know that." Said Seth calmly. He stood up and left.

"Why was he angry?" I heard Alicia's soft voice. I forgot she was here all the time.

"Oh! It's nothing sweetheart. Your boyfriend is a bit moody." I said with a chuckle. In return she gave me a toothy smile.

"Okay its done." I said and let out a frustrated sigh. We were discussing financial issues of the company in my office. We as in Brandon and I. 

"Alright then." Said Brandon, he run his fingers through his hair.

"Ma'am you have another meeting with the Chinese." Said Ayesha standing beside me. I swear she never gets tired.

"How many times do I have to tell you to call me Lauren? Please Ayesha." I gave her a weak smile.

"I'm sorry. But it sounds so unprofessional." She shrugged.

"After what happened yesterday , I don't think so anything is left professional now." Said Brandon and we all laughed.

After beating the asses of Chinese with my coherent knowledge, I was finally going home. I missed my queen sized bed. My phone buzzed and brought me back from my thoughts. It was Seth.

How was your day?

Wow. He is being nice.

Boring. I hate Chinese -_- they are so dumb.
