It was finally Wednesday, my head was pounding and my stomach was churning I don't know why I was getting these feelings .
I wore the same dress Seth and I bought. I was pacing back and forth in my room taking deep breaths ,telling myself everything would be fine.
Seth burst into my door, "You ready Sugar?" He said without looking at me cause he was into his phone.
"No. I..I mean yes. Yes I'm ready." I hesitated. He finally looked up at me. I was continuously playing with my hands. He furrowed his brows and came closer, "Hey. Relax everything is gonna be fine. Just stay confident about yourself. That's it." I nodded.
He stared at me like something was wrong. "What?" I traced my hand over my face. "Is something wrong?" I asked.
"Uh yes. There is one problem."
"What?"
He gently placed the palm of his one hand on my cheek, I froze. What's he doing? And with his other hand he pulled out my spectacles from my face. "There now you look better." I blinked at him twice and finally turned to look at the mirror to see myself.
At the reflection of myself I actually felt happy, I bit my bottom lip and whispered, "Thanks." He nodded. I never even tried to see how I actually look without these big glasses.
He held my hand, "Lets go. Hayden is waiting." I nodded and we walked downstairs. Hayden's jaw dropped when he saw me, his reaction was so cute and I couldn't help but blush; at which Seth frowned and tightened his grip on my hand.
"You look like a doll, Sugar." I heard Alicia, she was watching TV.
I smiled at her, "Thank you."
"Well , look! a doll is complimenting another doll." said Seth and smirked at me. I rolled my eyes.
"It looks like we're getting late Lauren." said Hayden and I nodded. I moved forward but I realized Seth was holding my hand. I glanced at him, his eyes were transfixed on me. He looked down at our hands and then again looked at me, he slowly let go of it.
"Um aren't you coming?" I asked.
He shook his head "No. I'm going to the studio."
"Studio?"
"Yes. Uh for the recording."
I bit my inner cheek and nodded. I heard Hayden's voice calling my name so I left. I don't know why I felt so bad when I was leaving his hand. It was warm and..
What the hell Lauren. No! You can't fall for Seth. Not in this life.

"And this is not how its done Ms. Clavane."
I sighed when Mr. Banker finally completed his speech. I did listen to every single word. But man he was so boring. I stood up getting everyone's attention.
"Don't you get tired speaking this much." I furrowed my brows at him.
LAUREN!!
Hayden eyes widened at the comment and he mouthed 'Keep it professional' I smiled at Mr. Banker.
"Okay so what you were saying , that young people can't control the company. I'm actually very surprised wow! We're in the twenty first century and you still think the same. But you know what young people have new mind and I guess everyone needs some new stuff. Don't they? Now moving to our company progress, can you tell me its progress when my grandpa was alive."
"On the top."
"On the top, impressive right? But what about our last months progress when no one was sitting on the seat." I raised my eyebrows at him. "Very low. Our company came from there to here in a month." I pointed with my fingers.
"And who should I blame for this?" I sighed and shrugged.
My eyes roamed around the conference table looking at each and every single person, a man in his twenties smirking at me I eyed at him and then I remembered his profile Mr. Trask. He was one of the closest employee and a very nice friend of Mr. Clavane as Ayesha told me. I looked away.
After a lot of arguing with Mr. Banker I lost control, that man was getting on my nerves.
"Hayden I'm sorry I need to make this unprofessional." As my words left my mouth his expression changed into the worried one. I sighed, "Mr. Banker go fuck yourself!" The silence filled over the room.
Everyone's expression told that they weren't approving of my behavior.
"I'm sorry but I had to say it." I raised my hand in surrender.
"Mr. Banker do you realize that you've wasted my 30 minutes arguing on the way too stupid topic. And plus you're fired. I don't need you anymore." His mouth hung opened.
"You ca-" I cut him off. "Yes I can. I can do anything." I tilted my head and smiled at him. He had a frown on his face and his eyes were filled with anger.
"Now I want you all to get your shit together and decide whether you want this company to be at the top again or you want it to lose all its respect and position in front of your eyes." I said looking at each and every person. I caught Hayden mouthing 'You're amazing' I gave him a slight nod and smiled.
"I guess we're done here. Goodbye everyone. I'll see you all soon." I said and walked out.
My body was trembling I was out of breath. I quickly moved my way to my office..sorry Mr. Clavane's office. I mumbled. "Shit. I'm doomed." I thought this was it, I messed up. I was so fucking stupid, I should've kept my mouth shut. I should've ask Hayden to cover me up. Seth would definitely kill me. I was on the verge of crying, my body was still shaking with fear, embarrassment and anger. I covered my face with my palms. "I'm so stupid." I mumbled.
"No you're not." I heard a deep but soft voice. I shot my head up to Brandon Trask standing in front of me. Oh God!
"Sorry I didn't knock." He said. "Its okay." I said but it was barely audible and looked away.
"Um I know you must be feeling weird right now , that's fine you know. What you did in that conference room was amazing. Seriously. You just nailed it. Mr. Banker is rude , an arrogant man and you're the only one who spoke to him like this." I felt his gaze on me. I stood up, "Thank you but they won't approve of me as their new president."
"Who said that? Actually they just did."
"Huh?"
"Yes."
I smiled. Wow!
"Lauren. Your grandfather was a very nice man. He was always there for me, treating me and Ayesha like we were his own child. That night I saw him..dying over here.." he pointed towards the table. "I did my best to help him a-" I cut him off.
"I really appreciate what you did for my grandpa and I'm very thankful." My lips turned into thin line. He just nodded.
Brandon was the one who took Seth's grandpa to the hospital when he had a heart attack, as Ayesha told me.Hayden entered the room, "You nailed it!" He exclaimed.
God this boy!
"We just got to know that Mr. Banker was working against us. He was one of the main partner with the Treysor's. And clearly he was the reason for the crises." Hayden explained.
Woah! I feel proud now.
"That's why he was against me." I added. Hayden gave me slight nod.
"I'm hungry. Can we go for lunch?" I asked looking both of the boys.
"Of course." Said Hayden.
"Alright. I'll call Ayesha too." I messaged her and in no time she was here.
The four of us went to the nearest restaurant and shared a good laugh. In meantime I messaged Seth.
"Hey. I did it."
After a minute my phone beeped.
"I knew you would :)"
I smiled in my head and quickly shaking it off I joined the others in the conversation.
