Chapter 16

Lauren's POV

How does it feel , when you lose all your self respect? I really don't how to feel right now. I'm mad at Seth, how dare he lie again. I mean , when his mother knew everything , so what was the point of saying I was his girlfriend.

"You okay?" I heard Hayden's voice. He was taking me back home. I was quite the whole time . I didn't feel like talking. I just nodded my head.

"You know Lauren , you're like a sister to me-you ever need someone to talk to , don't hesitate to call." I glance at him sideways , whilst his eyes were focused on the road.

"Thanks." I spoke and rested my head on the seat.

He pulled up, I got out of the car ; feeling so disappointed , that I couldn't do anything for my family. I need to find a job again , or just hope Tim's diner would welcome me again.

Hayden handed me my bag, I tried to smile and tried to show I was okay ; but yeah I wasn't strong. I adjusted my glasses and muttered "Thanks." Instead of walking away he wrapped his arms around me. "I'm gonna miss you cousin." I felt him smirking. I hugged him back "Thank you for everything." We pulled back, "Don't forget me." He winked at me and drove off.

I quietly entered the house, my mom was in the kitchen ; as soon as she sensed my presence , she turned to look at me with sympathy. I gave her an apologetic smile and hugged her. A tear dropped from my eyes.

"Its okay sweetheart. We're here for you." She whispered. I hugged her even more tighter.

I lay on my bed , looking around my room. I need to redecorate it, I realized something was missing.

Then it hit me, I wasn't in the Clavane house. I realized , I never bought it again after that incident. I only had it , after Seth placed it in my so called room.

Could I have it back?

I really wanted it back. I pouted at the thought that I would never get it back. I called Kaycee , just to enlighten her about the new incidents.

"What?!"

"You heard me."

"She really slapped you!"

"Yes."

"Seth called you his girlfriend!"

"Yes."

"Wow. Where was I , when everything was happening?"

"Kaycee!"

"Sorry. Did he call you?"

"Who? Hayden?"

"No. Seth idiot."

"Nope. And I don't even want to talk to him. I hate him."

"That's harsh."

"No its not. I really do."

"No you don't."

"What?"

"Nothing. Well I gotta go , Alex is calling me. And tell me if anything happens. Okay?"

"Okay. Will do. Bye."

I put my phone aside and tried to think what should I do next? I grabbed my phone again and texted Charlie.
