Chapter 22

Lauren's POV

Life was never fair , it always brings me at a point-where I couldn't go back to my normal life ; nor I could take a step forward to live my life again .

It has been a week since the incident , and I was still helpless . I was just lying on a cold floor . Jake was a cruel person, he is so rich -then why was he keeping me in this house . And he said he wanted me to be his ; then he better treat me like a princess .

I sighed and closed my eyes , an image of Seth formed . I wanted to run to him , hug him and tell him how much I wanted to be with him right now . I wished things were never like this between us .

The door opened , and Jake appeared with a disgusting smirk plastered on his face . I rolled my eyes at him and turned my face away .

"Sugar." He leaned forward , and traced his fingers over my face softly .

"You know , I like you very much . Lets just make a deal , and end all this crap . It hurts to see you in all this pain ."

Seriously ? He should've thought of that before .

"Okay . Your ugly lover is out there-finding you , going crazy about you . So why not , just make a little deal and get free of this ? Huh ?"

"Let me make you mine , and I won't destroy your lover ."

I furrowed my brows at him .

"How are you gonna destroy him ?"

"You don't have to worry about that . I know a little secret about him ." He winked at me .

Secret ?

He opened his mouth to say something -his phone rang . He sighed and checked the caller ID . He frowned , but didn't answer the call .

"Looks like your lover is going crazy about you ."

His phone rang again but still he didn't answer .

"You should pick that up ." , I said .

"Why ? Dying to talk to him ?" He smirked . I rolled my eyes and looked away .

His phone rang , this time he picked it up . Jake was standing a bit far-obviously I couldn't hear what the person on the other line was saying , but I had a feeling it was Seth .

"I'm with someone..try to understand ."

Yeah right .

"WHAT ?"

He almost screamed .

"I told you to stay away from her , you moron ."

Wait . Whom did he ask to stay away from ?

"I..I can't come ."

"Cause I'm in London ."

Liar .

"The day after Lauren left . I had to , dad wanted me to be with him ."

The biggest liar I've ever seen . It was confirmed ; he was talking to Seth . A thought came in my mind , and in that split millisecond moment-I kicked the table beside me . It created a sound audible enough for someone on the other side of the phonecall . I even took a vase , a dusty vase and broke it . Jake gave me a death glare , and rushed to me . I tried to shout ; but he put his hand on my mouth .

"Bro I'll call you back , a cat over here is going wild ." , he said and hung up .

He let go of me , I felt something hard over my right cheek-a burning sensation . Tears built up in my eyes .
