Chapter 12

Lauren POV

I came back from hospital and was hell tired. I didn't see Seth all day, and guess what? I had to do a very stupid meeting through my phone. Video call. I was literally losing my mind, here I was at the hospital trying to take care of my father , but Hayden decided something else-he wanted to do the meeting , as he quoted 'Lauren this meeting is important for our business.'

Anyways, I took a shower changed into my over sized shirt , blue shorts and laid on my bed. I closed my eyes , but like always my mind was awake, making me sick and making me think about the recent shit I've been through. Just then I heard footsteps across my door. I tried to ignore it but my curiosity got the best of me ; dying to see , who was awake this late?

I jumped out of my bed and took baby steps to reach the stair case. I saw two guys going downstairs, oh my god! Thieves!

"Dude be quiet! You'll wake them up." I heard a familiar cold voice. Seth.

Why he was wearing a hood? And where in the world he is going at 1 am? And who is that?

I saw Seth turning his head , causing me to quickly run back to my room. God! Saved. I hope he didn't see me. I was getting sleepy and , in no mood to get to know about his secret so I just slept.

I was woken up by Alicia jumping on me.

"Alicia." My voice was hoarse.
"Lauren, I'm going back to my mommy." She grinned.

"What?" I rubbed my eyes and sat on bed, she sat in front of me on my legs which were covered in white sheets.
"Okay now where are you going?"

Her crystal blue eyes were lighting up , she was so happy. "I'm going back to my mommy."

"That's nice." I smiled.

"I'll miss you." She said with an innocent look. Awww.

"Baby I'll miss you too. I'll ask Seth to get me visit you."

"Really? Will you come to see me?"

"Yes of course." I smiled. She wrapped her little arms around my neck , I hugged her back. "Come on , I have to get ready . I'll come down stairs." She nodded and went out of the sight.

I took a quick shower, wore my white full sleeved blouse and a blue pencil skirt with my blue high heeled sandals and my Micheal Kors blue hand bag. I honestly love my life as a Clavane. Why couldn't it last forever? I mean, I like being like this with Alicia and Seth.

With all my thoughts , I went downstairs and saw Seth, Hayden and Alicia having breakfast . I joined them. Susan served me with blueberry pancakes, I love her cooking. I was comfortable , until I saw Seth's gaze fixed on me, he had a curious look on his face. Then I remembered last night's event, I wanted to ask him , but I averted myself.

I finished eating and stood up, grabbing my bag, "I'm waiting outside." I heard Hayden. I nodded at him. Then I remembered , I forgot my folder in my room. I sighed.

"You okay , dear?" I heard Susan.

"Yeah . I just forgot my folder."

"I'll get it for you." She smiled.
"No its fine , I'll get it." I rushed upstairs to my room. I scanned it and there it is on the table. I quickly grabbed it and turned around, only to see Seth standing there- eyeing me.

"What?" I asked.

"Nothing, was just checking up on you." He shrugged and took a step forward.
