Seth POV

I felt a bit relieved when I answered in affirmative . I finally told her that I was the one who beat up Caleb and Jake's ass. I used to bully people too but not at that extreme. She was crying, I didn't like people crying.

I sat on my bed and called Dean. "Yo! Listen up. Is he coming tonight?"

"Yes, he is."

"Okay. Then I'll see ya."

I hung up. I closed my eyes and tried to sleep. But people didn't let me, there was a knock on my door. I sighed audibly and went up to look who is it.

"Sir Hayden is here." It was my butler. I nodded and closed the door. I took a shower and changed into my favorite clothes. Yeah, boys have favorite shirts too.

I straight went to Lauren's room. I knocked but I get no response. I knocked again but no response. I got frustrated and opened the door slightly.

"Lauren?" I called out.

I gave a look around and saw her sleeping on the bed. Her innocent baby face, she looked peaceful. Her big glasses made her more innocent. I stood by here, admiring her face. I made a move with my hand and pulled back the strand of her hair from her face.

Dude what is wrong with you?!

My inner voice spoke up and I stopped midway.

Stop it!

I immediately took a step back. I ran my hand through my hair in frustration. "What was I doing?" I muttered under the breath.

"Seth?" I heard her sweet sleepy voice. I looked up at her, she was staring at me.

"Um Hayden is here. Come down stairs."

She nodded and I left the room. I need to keep my distance from her or she would destroy me.

I went downstairs, Hayden was playing with Alicia and she was sitting on his lap.

"Stay away from my girlfriend." I teased.

"Over protective boyfriend." He snapped.

I saw Alicia rolling her eyes, "Boys." Hayden and I laughed even though she was only six but had a nice humor. I saw Lauren walking downstairs. As soon as Hayden saw her, he placed Alicia on my lap and stood up. I gave a stern look to him but he decided to not look at me.

"Hi." said Lauren.

"Hello. I'm Hayden." He placed his hand forward to shake hands. She hesitated at first but then shook hands.

"Come lets discuss some business." said Hayden and she nodded. They both sat across each other and in front of me. Obviously I wasn't leaving them alone. I needed to keep an eye on both. I didn't trust Hayden.

They rambled on and I didn't get they were saying. I couldn't keep my eyes off Lauren and that was making her feel uncomfortable. But she was listening to every single word Hayden was saying. He handed over her a file which has all the profiles of important people in the company. As she looked through it. I saw Hayden mouthed 'Stop staring at her!'
He was angry.

I mouthed back 'Do your work.' I gave him a death glare- which he ignored. I knew he was older than me , but she was my responsibility.

Just then I received a message from Dean.

"Its happening now to due some reasons and he is here. Are you coming?"

"Is that even a question?! Of course I'm coming." I replied quickly. I stood up getting their attentions.

"Alright I'm going. Enough of your business thingy." I frowned.

"But we have a lot to discuss. You're going but she's not." Hayden glared at me.

"I know but I'm not leaving her with you." I shrugged.

Lauren furrowed her brows at me, she was confused at my sudden change. The hell! I'm more confused.

"Seth-" she tried to say something but I cut her off.

"Lauren go upstairs." I ordered. I knew I was being harsh but it was the best for her.

She gave me death glare and rushed to upstairs with a frown on her face. I turn my eyes to Hayden. He came forward I thought he would give me lecture but he patted my back and left.

What was that?

I stood protesting whether I should go to Lauren or not but then I went outside. I hopped in my car and stormed off.

I parked my car at the corner, wore my black hoodie so no one could recognize me. I finally went in, so many voices mixed with anger, emotions. The crowd was chanting only one name, 'Hyk' well it was a place where people lose their controls over their own mind. I guess they stopped thinking straight. Bloodshed, bruises..these things were too common in this place. Yes, I'm talking about street fighting. It was sort of a routine for me to be here ; watching all this.

I went to one of the corners, at the place for the audience. Dean came into my sight. "He is up." I nodded at him.

And there he was Hyk. One of the best fighter in the world, he only showed up in this street fight on Saturdays and I only come to see him. The fight bell rang, everyone could see the opponent, Rider was not good enough for Hyk. He punched Rider on his face and then gushed him on the corner, gave him as much punches he could on his stomach. Rider tried to fight back but terribly failed. Hyk knocked him out.

The crowd was going crazy, girls cried his name even though Hyk was in his late thirties.

"He did it again." I heard Dean. I just nodded at him.

"Do you want to go next?" He asked.

"No. Not tonight."

"Seth, when will you?" He frowned.

"I'm not ready yet. He is Hyk, I need more practice to knock him off." A smirk plastered on my face. I left the scenario, I need to get back to Lauren.

***

"Sugar?" I called out standing at the door of her room.

"What?" I heard her voice from the back, I turned around she was holding a glass of water and she pretty looked annoyed.

"Oh hi." I smiled at her.

"What do you want?" She snapped.

"Nothing I just came to say hi."

"You already said it-now leave." She passed through me and went in whereas I was still there. I grabbed her hand, "Listen to me."

"Leave my hand!"

I tightened my grip. "What is wrong with you?" I asked.

"Whats wrong with me? What is wrong with you?! The way you acted in the morning! What was that?" She frowned.

Oh. She is still mad.

"I was protecting you! He is a player for your very kind information."

"I don't need your protection! And aren't you a player?!" She snapped.

My jaw tightened, "Listen to me Sugar. If anyone even laid his eye on you I will kill him!" I could feel my anger raising up. I was looking into her eyes, they were scared. In a moment a felt something cold on my face.

Splash

"What the hell!" I shouted.

She literally threw the water on my face and it was so cold. She pulled back from me. "You needed that." She shrugged.

I move forward but she pushed me out of the room. "Get out!" She yelled. I tried to get in again but she slammed the door at me.

I sighed audibly and left.

What was I doing? I shouldn't be this angry at her. God! I need to keep distance from her.
