Chapter 4

Days passed by Kaycee was finally coming over. She was one of those rich girls but a down to earth person. We were friends since middle school so she knew Caleb and Seth. I used to think that she likes Caleb but that turned out wrong when she told me she was dating Alex, one of my very good friends. I never really had many friends except these two, they both were my family.

The door bell rang , I rushed to open the door. My jaw dropped when I saw Kaycee. She had become prettier since the last time I saw her. She was wearing a blue floral pattern skirt and blue T . I gave her a bear hug.

"I missed you." She whispered.

"I missed you more."

I broke the hug and pulled back, I grabbed her hand and pulled her into my room.

"So what is it you want to tell me?"

"Okay. First ...please don't freak out. Second you'll probably slap me , third ; it's complicated."

She furrowed her brows and gave me a slight nod.

I took a deep breath and then told her everything-even the slightest details. I had her undivided attention -or so I thought. "Kaycee? Say something."

She blinked at me two three times.

"SAY SOMETHING?! ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR FREAKING MIND! YOU'RE A CLAVANE NOW. DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHAT DOES THAT MEAN. THEY ARE ONE OF THE RICHEST PEOPLE ALIVE!!"

Okay. I'd prepared myself for such reaction.

She paced forth and back in the room, while I just sat there on my bed watching her freaking out.

"Lauren Clavane ,Lauren Clavane.."

"Kaycee."

"You're a Clavane now.."

"Kaycee."

"The only heir.."

"Kaycee!"

"What?!"

"Calm down okay. Just for few months."

"Few months? As if it's no big deal." She said while moving her head up and down.

"Lauren..my father.." she stopped midway.

"Your father?" I raised my eyebrows.

"He is sort of partner with the Clavane and was a very good friend of Seth's grand dad."

My jaw dropped. "And you're telling me now!"

I hastily get my phone and called Seth.

"Seth we have a problem."

"What?"

"Kaycee's father is one of the partners , and your grandpa's friend."

"Oh. Shit. Okay I'll see about it."

"See about it? He had seen me and met my family. He'll find out."

"Damn! Lauren the board meeting is at Wednesday and I'm sending my driver to get you. And I'll ask Hayden to cover Kaycee's father."

"Okay. You're sending him now?"

"Yes now idiot!"

"Fine. Ugly."

I rolled my eyes and hung up.

"You're moving to his place?"

"Yup." I popped out the letter p.
