Chapter 30

Lauren POV

I never knew the pain of lost love until now. My heart ached, I felt terrible. He loved me, cared for me, saved me and what I did was broke his heart.

People like me didn't deserve to live.

Why couldn't I just confront his mother?

I could've stepped in front of her and told her straight I would never leave Seth.

Why was I such a coward?

I was in my room, crying and screaming out loud. The lights were switched off, it was dark all around just like my life.

I never wished to leave him I wanted to hug him and tell him I've been loving him all along.

Why did I seal my words in my mouth?

I clutched on the bed sheet and screamed against the pillow, my heart was shattering into pieces.

"I'm sorry Seth. I'm sorry." Tears were descending down, I had no strength to stop them. My mind was moving in circles. I could hear the voices, they were so loud. I put my hands on my ears but the voices were getting louder.

I'm in love with you!

Stay away from my son.

It felt like somebody put these voices on shuffle, they kept getting louder. Images of Seth visioned in front of me. I couldn't bear the pain developing in my mind and my heart.

The memories crawled up on me, making me more miserable and weak. I was completely torn in and out. I bored myself in the bed and closed my eyes thinking these memories, these feelings would fade away but I was so wrong.

They never would.

"Seth." I let out his name unconsciously.

All of a sudden the door slightly opened and a light entered the room. My heart pounded, a millisecond thought ran up on my mind. I thought Seth was here like every time, freeing from my own disastrous thoughts.

But instead Kaycee entered, I saw a tear dropped from her right eye. She ran up to me and cuddled me in her arms, I couldn't hold on my tears. I let them out, I let my frustration out.

She whispered words I was too deaf to hear, my mind was fixed on Seth.

How would I forget him?

"Lauren." A soft voice echoed, I slowly opened my eyes, Kaycee's face appeared in the sight. My eyelids were heavy, I glanced around the room it was a mess.

I tried to get up but I felt pain all over my body. "Careful." said Kaycee. She helped me to sit.

No words were exchanged between us for a minute or two. I had no explanation of last night.

She stroked my hair, "I know its gonna be hard for you but try to forget him."

I looked at her and tried to say something but my throat was dry I couldn't speak.  "Lauren. You have to focus on yourself. His mom thinks that you're no good for him, prove her wrong." She had a serious look.

"I..I.." I pursed my lips.

"Follow your dreams, be who you always wanted to be. And show everyone that you're the right person for Seth." It took a while for me to understand what she meant, I nodded at her.

"Mourn at your love all you want today cause tomorrow you'll step into new life. Don't take past memories with you." She kissed on my right cheek and left closing the door behind her.
