Sydney

I rang Aphrodite's doorbell because everyone else was too slow. A male chauffeur swiftly opened the door.

"Who is it?" A girly voice bubbled as the door opened.

"Demigods, your highness," the chauffeur said, keeping his eyes locked on us.

I heard a little sigh. "What could they want this time? Very well, bring them in."

The chauffeur beckoned us inside and led us to a luxurious throne room. The best way I can describe it is pink. Pink drapes, pink flowers, pink throne, pink love heart balloons. There were bits of gold and white, but they were only used to highlight the blaring pink.

"Miss Aphrodite," I said, kneeling at the base of her dais when we were close enough. "Hades sent us to protect you. He thinks that you are the goddess in the prophecy."

"Did he now?" Aphrodite smirked. "Well," she said with a little sigh as she waved her hand. We were back at camp, and Jenny and Courtney were in dresses.

Jenny's dress was a pink tule knee length gown covered in sparkles. It also had a bright pink sequined top and a sweetheart neckline. It came with a small gold heart pendant and a shimmery slim yellow belt along the waist. The top was corseted, which was obvious because she looked at it like it was going to kill her.

Her hair was in a high ponytail with a braid coming along the left side of her head. The whole hairstyle was straightened, which was weird to see with Jenny's naturally curly hair. The ponytail and braid had little bits of gold highlights running through them, just in case you needed more sparkle. She was also wearing shimmery gold high heeled sandals, and had deep yellow gemstone earrings.

Courtney's dress was a floor length orange gown with tule outside and a slick silk interior. It had a slit right in the front for some extra sass. The gown was tightly fitted on the inside, but as it went down loosened up just a little bit. I could tell that Courtney wasn't happy about the whole fitted thing, she tried to take a step forward  and she looked like a penguin. It took an insane amount of willpower not to laugh.

The belt line on her dress had a four pointed star-like gem scatter that was tilted so one point goes up the right side of the bodice and the left curls around the belt line. There was a flashy light pink bracelet that matches the gems on the dress on her left wrist, adding a extra flash. Courtney instantly ripped off the bracelet, disgusted, but the second it hit the ground it was on her wrist again. She looked at the sky as if to say Dad, why did you let this happen to me?

Her hair was done in a high bun with braids circling the bottom. There were light pink gemstones like the ones on the dress and bracelet scattered through her hair like stars. She also had deep pink gemstone earrings that sparked when she turned her head, you know, because we need another sparkly thing to look at.

"How's it going, Sparkles? Oh, I mean Sparky," I said to Courtney. Electricity started jumping from her hands.

She looked over at Jenny and busted up laughing. "You look ridiculous!" She said between laughing fits.

"Well at least I don't look as bad as you," she said snappily, trying to hold down a laugh of her own after seeing Courtney.

I focused for a second on the two of them and realized that the pink glow around them wasn't the sunset. They were surrounded in a mist of pink sparkles.

I held down a laugh. "You two are covered in pink mist!"

They looked at each other more closely, the laughing done. "Oh, no," Courtney started. "We got Pipered."

I couldn't hold it any longer. I busted up laughing. We all started cracking up at Courtney and Jenny, them included, when the boys started to arrive.

They were mystified. The bravest of the bunch tried to come up and speak to them, but before they even got close Courtney started sparkling (oh excuse me, sparking) and Jenny gave them a glare of death (which I'm pretty sure could actually kill someone at close range). They all backed up fast.

Soon after, the next boys tried throwing flowers, chocolates, and love note paper air planes, as well as blowing kisses, but Courtney used the projectiles for target practice. So did Jenny, after she whipped out her bow. Those boys soon retreated too.

"I'm gonna try to change, hopefully the dress isn't magically superglued on," Courtney grumbled, marching off to the Zeus cabin.

"Me too," Jenny said, following her.

As soon as they were gone, Shayla, NC, and I started busting up again as we watched the group of failed admirers stalk Courtney and Jenny.

I scanned the group who was following Courtney and my heart about stopped. Malcolm, my co-counselor was there. I looked more closely. Yep, that was him. I looked at the other people in that group. Connor, looking love struck, was following clever Malcolm like a dog, staring straight at Courtney.

I took a quick glance at Shayla. She hadn't noticed yet. I breathed a silent sigh of relief. The stalkers were now out of sight, and as long as I didn't tell her, she didn't need to know.

I looked over at Jenny's group, scared at what I might find, and saw Jake. I felt my face heating. How could he do that? I started marching out to go slap him, when I noticed that he also had that starry-eyed expression that Connor did.

Wait a second, I thought. Aphrodite! That witch! This is our punishment, for doing who knows what, maybe interrupting her plotting. Courtney's and Jenny's are getting dotted over and being in dresses, and we have to watch as our crushes fall madly in love with them. I started planning. Was there a way to stop it? And how?

I couldn't think, because all I could think about was Malcolm leading the Courtney fan club. I remembered his expression. The more I thought about it, the more it made sense. Malcolm liked Courtney. A lot. The only boy who Courtney hadn't tried to kill when he got near enough to flirt was Malcolm.

"Shayla, have I got news for you," I said as I turned around with a wicked grin. "I know who Courtney likes."
