When I opened my eyes, I became more and more aware that Lehi's snoring softly and his nose is brushing against my ear. I froze when I realized that the pillow between us is gone and his arm is close to mine. I don't know what to do or to say, for the first time, it seems like my reflexes are jammed. I turned my face slowly until I'm face to face with the sleeping person beside me. His face looks more relaxed and carefree than when he's awake, his lips are slightly parted and my keen sense of smell detected the smell of his mint toothpaste. His hair is a little ruffled but he still look like a Greek god. If I didn't know better, I'll mistake him for an Immortali.
I moved slowly backwards to get up when Lehi unconsciously draped his arm around me. My eyes widened when he started to move closer, consuming the small space left between us--sending tingles down my spine. I was about to wake him up when he moaned softly and started to wake up. I stayed still, waiting for him to open his eyes and adjust to the morning light. When his clear gray eyes opened and focused on mine, he smiled and greeted, "Good morning beautiful." But as soon as he finished his sentence, he realized that he's hugging me and shot up and I bet he suddenly felt dizzy because he closed his eyes tightly and pressed his temples. I sat up slowly, not knowing what to say.
"Dizzy?" I asked. He opened his eyes slowly and looked at me.
"Just a little, but I'm okay now." he rubbed his cheek. "Olivia, I'm so sorry, I didn't realize that I was hugging you, were you awake all along?" there's a hint of embarrassment on his face as he blushed a little.
"I was, but I didn't want to disturb you," I lied a little since the truth is; I don't know what to do at that time. "You looked so peaceful--plus, you were snoring." I smiled a little and that made him blush even more.
"Crap! I was snoring at your face? Shoot, I'm sorry. Did I do anything else that I wasn't aware of? Maybe you should slap me, here." he pointed to his cheek.
"No, you didn't do anything else. It's my pillow that needs your apology since it looks like you kicked it off the bed." I chuckled. "And good morning too."
"Oh my, this is so embarrassing--hugging you in your sleep."
"Stop mentioning about it, we can't change it anymore, it already happened." I chuckled. "Come on, time for breakfast." I stood up and walked towards my bathroom.
"Okay, I'll see you downstairs." Lehi smiled as he stepped outside my bedroom door.
I looked in the mirror as I brush my teeth and saw that I was blushing--though a lighter shade than Lehi's--then I realized that he didn't tease me about it. Maybe he's used to it, or maybe he's too embarrassed to even notice it. It's not the first time that I woke up with someone, since Ezra often stays with me whenever I ask him to stay. But it's my first time to wake up with someone so close to me--physically. Gosh, I sighed. It was definitely the closest encounter I had with a guy. I should start watching my distance again. I tied my hair to a high ponytail and walked down the stairs to the kitchen where I saw Lehi pouring juice to two glasses for us. Liahona's sitting beside his right foot, rubbing her furry cheeks against his cheeks. I smiled at him and he smiled back at me as he noticed that I noticed how Liahona likes him.
"She likes you." I teased.
"Yep, we've been going out for a week now." he chuckled. Liahona gazed at me for a brief moment and went out to who-knows-where. We were almost finished eating when Lehi called my attention. I looked at him, waiting for him to talk when someone cleared his throat behind me. Lehi gave that person a look and I suddenly realized who it was.
"Wanna eat? I can make you a BLT." I smiled at Ezra.
"No thanks, I'm full." he smiled back at me. "I was just dropping by to check on you. Make sure you're okay since there's a stranger in the house."
