The day's almost over but it still feels like an eternity for me, I keep on texting Ezra, but he's still in an urgent meeting. I sigh as I looked outside the window and saw the press at the garden with Lehi and his parents--with Cassandra, of course. Lisa invited me to join them but I declined what would people think about me? I don't do meetings or business transactions outside the office except my house, so I don't want to use Gaspard Fontaine as an alibi. There was a knock at the door and when I opened it, Martin was standing outside.

"Miss Snow," he started "master Lehi would like you to go downstairs and meet him."

"Please tell him that I'm sorry but I'm not feeling well and that I will see him tomorrow. Thank you" I smiled at him. He smiled back and I closed the door behind me. I decided to take a hot bath, so I checked my phone first for any messages from Ezra then headed to the bathroom. When everything was ready, I dipped in the pristine egg-shaped bathtub and closed my eyes. I calmed my mind and processed all of today's events... both the great and worst ones. I dipped myself in deeper and held my breath as I stayed underwater. I think there's someone calling out my name and knocking, but I ignored it. I gave myself about 5 minutes more before I decided to go to bed and maybe sleep. Or I could go out and feed.

I stepped out of the tub and grabbed the fluffy towel form the rack, and wrapped it around me. I finger combed my wet locks as I walked towards the bathroom door, and when I opened it, there was a soft knock on the door. I stopped and listened if anyone would call out my name, I decided not to open the door after the next knock so they would think that I'm already fast asleep. I grabbed my sleeping shorts and camisole, my arm brushed against the garment bag that contains the pretty chiffon dress for tomorrow and I frowned. I'll leave it here tomorrow when I leave. The knocking stopped, and I went to sit on the bed and checked my phone. There was one message from Ezra telling me that he'll be here first thing in the morning. My things are already packed and ready for tomorrow, so everything's good to go. I closed my eyes and slowed my breathing until I felt the familiar pull of sleeping. I let it pull myself and dreamt of my mother singing to me then it shifted to the familiar touch of Lehi's lips.

The morning light, along with a knock on the door woke me up. I ran to the bathroom to take the bathrobe and wrap it around me before opening the door. I was looking straight when I opened it, so I faced a chest of someone tall. I looked up and smiled at Ezra when I met his eyes. Martin was by his side and I gave him a small smile and thanked him as Ezra walked inside the room. I closed the door as soon as Martin was out of sight. I looked at Ezra who was sitting by the window couch and wondered what would happen if I choose him over Lehi. It would definitely be complicated for me since I don't love him enough to give him what he wants.

"Are you okay?" he asked. I smiled at him and sat by his side. "I'm fine" I sighed and he rubbed my back. I took a deep breath, enjoying his touch--his rub is very relaxing, like a massage. "You're ex is here." I said and he stopped rubbing my back.

"Yeah, I felt her presence, and there definitely is something different about her."

"She changed a lot," I nodded "her countenance is different too."

"So, what's with her and your boy toy?"

"He's her ex, and just like you, she cheated on him."

"Poor bastards--we are--to fall into her trap." he shook his head, "So, you ready to leave?"

"I just have to change and bid farewell to the birthday celebrant then we'll go." I stood up and took the clothes I prepared last night and rushed to the bathroom to change and brush my teeth. I disposed of the toothbrush and packed my sleeping clothes before giving a thumb up to Ezra, signaling that I'm ready to leave. He accompanied me downstairs to the dining area where the Fontaine family--with Cassandra again--is waiting for breakfast. There are two seats with two placemats on the opposite side of Lehi and Cassandra--yes, they're sitting beside each other--which mean it's for Ezra and me. Lisa smiled at me when as soon as she met my gaze and studied the tall guy standing beside me. Gaspard did the same and Lehi just stared at us.
