"Hi dear! How was work?" my aunt placed her hand on my shoulder as we walked inside their house.

"It was fine. I finally got a new photographer." I gave her a small smile.

"Well, it's about time. Well, how was the new photographer?"

"He's good. Though I find him a little hard headed. But I think he's doing a great job with the team."

"Oh, a he. Is he handsome?" she teased.

"Yeah…maybe." I give her a look that says that I'm not interested which made her chuckle.

Uncle Amador and I were talking about cars and different locations to play with the "big toys". Yes, I'm pretty good with cars and driving--for a girl, I know, I know. My aunt looks happy that her eternal companion has someone to talk to. They never decided to have kids which really intrigued me.

"I've been itching to ask you something." I blurted out after a few minutes of silence.

"Ask away." my uncle welcomed the question.

"Why don't you have kids? I mean, you've been together for as long as I can remember, even before I was born…don't you want to have kids? You know we can have children if we want to."

"We wanted to have children dear." my aunt answered. "When you were born, we were even excited about having our own, but you were so precious to us that we decided to help your parents raise you. We were going to wait 'til you're 21 before we procreate." she smiled but then she remembered something that made her smile go away.

"But then after Travian left Alcinda, and you know-" my uncle continued. "We both realized that you'll be needing us more than ever--so we decided that we won't have kids. We decided that we'll just look after you and be there whenever you need us."

"But I'm all good now. I have my own empire and I'm doing great. I have Ezra to accompany me when I'm bored and I have Liahona to keep me company at home, though she likes to stroll most of the time. I'm contented you know. I want you to be happier, and I wanna have a cousin!" I beamed at them.

They looked at each other, talking through their eyes. "Okay, we will. But before we do, we want you to promise something." my aunt smiled. Oh, no, I know where this is going. "As long as it's not too crazy to promise." I studied their faces. Why do I feel like this will be something that I'm expecting?

"You have to settle down. We need to make sure that you'll find your eternal companion before we give you a cousin." they beamed at me. I knew it. "No." I frowned. "But honey-" I cut my aunt off, "That's crazy! I will never settle down. Hell, I won't even fall in love. Love is stupid and it makes you stupid and pathetic. Have you forgotten what it did to my parents? They killed themselves because of that stupid emotion." I hope they won't push it.

My aunt was about to say something but my uncle stops her by holding her hand and shaking his head. After that, my aunt kept quiet so uncle Amador had to walk me to my car. He apologized about my aunt being a little bit pushy about me settling down but I told him that it's okay and I understand that they only wanted me to be happy. I hugged him goodnight and drove off.

I was driving a little bit slow tonight, contemplating about what my aunt said. But no matter how I consider it, it comes out as dumb and stupid in my mind. I don't want to end up like my mom, and I never will. I was about to step on it when a girl came out of nowhere. I stepped on the brakes almost hitting her. "Are you crazy?" I yelled at her. Stupid. I stepped out of my 2014 Ford Focus RS checking if she's bruised or anything. I'm not in the mood to take someone to the hospital at this time of night.
