Devastation

I wait for the elevator doors to close while I stare on the floor. As soon as the elevator ascended, I turned my phone on tapped on my messages. I walked out of the elevator into my office. I smiled at Scarlet as she greeted me a good morning and she seemed surprised that I smiled back at her. I opened the door and looked at the screen. I smiled when I reread Lehi's message this morning for the nth time. I remembered how great I felt when I looked at his face this morning when he fell asleep for a few minutes. I unconsciously touched my arm as I remembered how he touched me last night. I can still feel his touches--which made me blush. But no, we didn't cross the line no matter how sensual and romantic last night was. I almost jumped at the unannounced hug that Lehi gave me and I smiled. I looked at him and giggled. "You're lucky I didn't kick your butt for surprising me."

"Sorry, I can't help it. You look so beautiful even if it's just your back that I'm looking at." he gave a stunning crooked smile and I gave him one in return. "You're really stunning." he whispered and planted a chaste kiss on my lips. I pulled on his jaw and kissed him more when Scarlet knocked on the door, then I noticed that the door was left open. I looked at Lehi and he mumbled an apology for forgetting to close the door. Scarlet blushed and smiled at the scene she entered then cleared her throat.

"I'm sorry for barging in Ms Snow, but you'll have a private meeting with one of the interested investors at 10:30." She smiled at Lehi when he waved her hello.

"Okay, thank you for informing me." I dismissed her and she closed the door after winking at us. I faced Lehi and smirked at him. "You should always remember to close the door, Lehi" I touched his collar. "It's a good thing that only my secretary saw us."

"I'm sorry, please forgive me." he gave me his pleading eyes and I couldn't help but smile. How could someone so stunningly handsome and looks so dominating be super cute when he needs to?

"You have to work now; I'll see you at lunch." I kissed his cheek.

"I love you too" he smiled and walked out the door. I peeked at him and saw that he gave a wink and 2 gun hands at Scarlet as he passed her by. She laughed at his silly gesture and went back to work. I closed the door behind me and walked to my desk.

"What's this envelope doing here?" I asked to myself as I lifted the envelope from the desk and opened it. There was a note from Lehi that said "I took this yesterday when you were still sleeping. Now you can put something on your desk." I smiled and took the empty picture frame from one of the drawers. I looked at the frame then placed the picture inside; aunt Alaura would love to see this frame from her displayed on my desk. I sighed and smiled as I looked at the picture of me sleeping and Lehi pretending to be. He doesn't know how to stop surprising me.

At 10:00am, I was ready for the meeting when someone knocked on the door. Scarlet opened the door and signaled that the person I'm meeting is earlier than expected. I nodded and gave her a thumb up and she talked to the person outside and let the person outside go inside.

"Good morning Ms Snow" Lehi's father stepped took a sit in front of me. I looked at him and nodded at him courtly.

"Good morning, Mr. Fontaine. How may I help you?" I sat straight.

"I would like to invest in your company, in exchange for my son."

"Excuse me?" he must be crazy.

"I'll invest in your company if you return my son to Cassandra." he really is crazy.

"Mr. Fontaine, first and foremost, I didn't borrow your son from her. And I don't need you investing in my company." I snapped at him. How dare he walk into my company, and say something stupid? I walked to my door an opened it. "You can leave now, Mr. Fontaine. He stood up and buttoned his suit up.
