"Lehi, wake up!!" I yelled as I knock on his door. I didn't hear any response until I heard shuffling and a groan. I have keen senses--which Ezra found strange since he doesn't--but I have, I can hear faint noises and quiet conversation feet away if I concentrate enough. I can find out if something will taste good just by taking in its aroma. The only thing that I can't do though is see too far, I'm not Edward Cullen.
"What is it? Is there are emergency?" Lehi asked as he opened the door. His hair's spiking up and somewhat ruffled. "Sorry I'm not decent." he smirked as he noticed me looking at his toned abs because he's only wearing sweats that hang from his hips.
"Oh...no, it’s fine" I looked at his eyes so that I can avert my eyes from his body. "I just wanna wake you up early because I promised you that we'll bond."
"Oh, okay. I thought you wouldn't bond with me."
"I will," I said "besides, we're friends now. And think of this as my apology for being rude these past few days--acting like I'm bipolar or something."
"I thought you didn't notice that you're bipolar" he teased.
"Just go get dressed. I'm about to puke. You're a pain in my eyes."
"Admit it, you find me hot." A little.
"No, I don't find you hot. You're full of yourself." I scoffed as I walked away and downstairs.
I was busy shuffling through my iPhone's playlists when Lehi went down the stairs. He's wearing a black polo shirt that hugs his torso--showcasing his figure--and khaki shorts. He matched my outfit but I don't mind, though we look like a couple so it's kinda awkward in a way.
"So, where we goin'?" he asked.
"We'll be goin' to the beach--our own. So I suggest you grab your sunscreen, even if it isn't that sunny...”
"I have it ready mum."
"Ha ha, funny. Come on." I smirked as I grabbed the picnic basket from the table.
"Let me get that for you madam." he grabbed the basket from my hand. Our hands brushed for a second and it sent tingles in my skin but I brushed it off.
"Thank you." I said but I didn't look at his eyes. I know that he saw me blush so I can't bring myself to look at him since I know how he'll tease me for the whole day. I promised him that we'll bond so I should be nice to him, right?
"You look pretty by the way." he interrupted my train of thoughts.
"Excuse me?"
"I said you look pretty. You always look pretty--what am I saying? I don't wanna mumble, it's just that even if you look so simple right now, you're still stunning. I'm telling you this because I find you pretty; I'm not hitting on you okay? I don't want you to feel or think that I'm hitting on you because I know that—“
"Just shut up, thanks if you find me pretty no matter how I dress. You're mumbling." I smirked at him.
"Whoa, sorry. It's not normal for me to mumble, I don't mumble, you know. If I mumble it just happens in my mind or if I'm watching a movie all alone and I find the lead actor irritating-"
"Lehi!" I cut him off. "You're mumbling again. You know, you always look so serious and mysterious whenever you're quiet, that's actually my first impression of you--but now it's changing. I also thought that you're too full of yourself and cocky." I told him as I looked into his eyes so he'll know that I'm not kidding. Besides, it might stop him from mumbling.
"Really? Well thanks for the mysterious, I like making people think of me that way then surprise them on how bubbly I am. But full of myself? Not really--you see, I was just stressed out that day, plus, I apologized about that the first day I got to work." he beamed at me.
