I've been watching Lehi eat something I've prepared for him, when he went out for a run earlier. It's been about 5 minutes since his third and last bite and he's still not saying anything--he's just staring at his food. I was about to hold his hand, when he looked up at me and smiled.

"It doesn't taste the way it did before." he said after taking a sip of his orange juice "But this juice does. Is that normal?"

"Yes, it's normal." I smiled "Since we don't really need to feed on human food, we don't have to crave for them. Fresh fruits taste appealing, though. But we can still choose not to eat."

"Oh...so...okay. That's cool." He beamed at me and I smiled.

"Do you have any other questions? Or perhaps, something that feels so new to you?"

"Yeah, I do feel a lot stronger, and faster, though I can't run so fast."

"We're not vampires like the ones you read on books. We're going to run as fast as mortals can do, but we won't get tired like they do."

"So how can Ezra pop up everywhere he wants to be, anytime, if we're not that fast?"

"It's one of our blessings." I sighed "Ezra's fond of using it, I forgot how he called it, but it's kind of like what mortals call teleportation."

"Cool! How does that work?" he leaned forward, his expression bearing focused attention. I giggled and got up of my seat, gesturing for him to walk with me.

"Well," I started as we walked hand in hand to the patio "you just have to think about the place where you want to go--form a picture in your mind. Then concentrate, as in, really concentrate, then you're there."

"What if I'm going to go where you are, but I don't know where you're at?"

"Then you'll just to have picture me, my face, but the most effective way is to think about your greatest memory with me--or of me."

"Ezra uses that?--the memory?" I nodded at his question "Have you done it before?"

"Once, I've tried it once. I was looking for my mom, but I can't seem to find her. Then I remembered Ezra's advice, and I found her."

"Why didn't you do it again?"

"I have means of transportation, Mr. Fontaine. Why buy it, and not use it?"

"That makes sense. Still, it's cool though, I can definitely use that in case of emergency." I smiled at him, and he smiled back. "I have another question." I looked at Lehi and he smiled "Why did Ezra say that my bat won't hurt him, but you were hurt by those men who attacked us during my mum's birthday? I mean, we are immortals, my father, Cassandra and Ezra didn't have a single scratch; yet you were bleeding, I thought you were gonna die."

I giggled at his expression, "It's because I'm still a young Immortali. Once we've reached a hundred years, we'll be as perfect as Ezra and the others. But as of now, it's all about fast-healing. You can slow it down though, in case of mortals."

"Oh...so kinda like Wolverine?"

"Yep, kinda like Wolverine." I mimicked him and he chuckled.

"You're getting good at mimicking me, Mrs. Fontaine." he smirked.

"Well, you'll have to get used to it, Mr. Fontaine, I'll be mimicking you forever. When I feel like it."

"He he... Forever at last." Lehi pulled my face and planted a soft kiss on my lips. I wrapped my arms around him, and kissed him back. "I love you" Lehi whispered against my lips and I whispered an I love you back, as his tongue brushed against my lower lip. We planted more lingering kisses, until he carried me to our bedroom.
