It's Monday morning, another day, another week. It's perfect attendance bonus day so I'm sure that all the employees will come in early to get the additional $100.00 to today's pay if their attendance last week and today was perfect, with no late or under time. It's my way to motivate my employees to come to work every day and on time. Besides, most of them have mouths to feed so it's another way for me to help. I have a soft spot for my employees specially the ones with families who even stay in the office after working hours to gain extra. I admire hardworking mortals and I'm glad I have a lot of those working for me.
I was just getting my leopard print Louboutin to go with my black dress, when the doorbell chimed. I took a second look at the mirror before going down the stairs to see who came at this time of morning. As I opened the door I saw Lehi smiling, wearing a white dress shirt under a black blazer. I noticed that he's wearing jeans and a black converse. It was a mixture of formal and casual but he really pulled that off.
"Good morning" he greeted me.
"Good morning. What are you doing here? And how did you find me?" I asked.
"I'm here to drive you to work, because I'm your driver. Scarlet gave the address to your house, or should I say, mansion?"
"No matter how big a house is, it's still a house."
"Okay, so shall we?" he asked, still smiling.
"Come with me." I gestured to the side of the house.
"Where are we going?"
"The garage. How are you going to be a driver without something to drive?" I sighed.
"Oh, okay."
As soon as I opened the garage, Lehi's jaw dropped. He whistled as he scanned each car parked in front of him. "So...choose one." I nudged him. "Wow. Just wow." is all he said he decide on which car to take. "We don't have all day. Hurry up and choose." I walked over the key locker, ready to grab the key to the car that he'll choose. Lehi kept standing in front of the 2013 Porsche 911, so I figured that's the one that he chose. I walked to him and threw him the keys which he caught perfectly.
"For a girl, you really have a nice collection of toys." he said as we got into the car.
"I get that a lot. Let's go."
On the way to the office I noticed that Lehi was trying to say something but something seems to stop him. I kept looking outside the window 'til after 5 minutes he spoke. "So, what got you into cars?" he asked. This is the first time that I've been with a mortal in my own car so I really don't feel too comfortable. "You don't have to start a conversation." was all I answered him which shut him off ‘til we got to the office. When we arrived, I told him that I'll be discussing a few things with him in my office so he'll need to go meet me after he parks the 911.
I was signing some papers that Scarlet handed me when Lehi got into my office. Once I'm done, Scarlet flashed a smile at Lehi before closing the door. Lehi smiled at me and gestured something that to seemed like he's waiting for me to say something.
"Okay, since you're my driver and I don't want us getting late, I need you to stay at my house."
"I have to live with you?" he seems surprised.
"Yes, I need you to live in my house to avoid being late. Don't worry you'll be highly compensated and you have your own room. You can do whatever you want to your room as long as you don't bring other people in my house." he kept quiet and it was irritating me. "Hey, still with me?" I asked.
