It was a warm Saturday afternoon. I had just finished my photo album and decided to relax on the window of my room. It was quite wide, so I sat comfortably on it with my feet dangling. I looked up the clear, blue sky and saw some white puffy clouds chasing one another. There was no hint of rain although I felt sticky all over, despite the fan going on at full blast earlier on.
Then I heard the rumble of thunder a great distance away. A small squirrel scurried up the tree next to the neighbour's veranda. Gradually, the rumbling became more distinct.
The sky suddenly turned black. Angry clouds were racing across the sky. I was quite astonished by the speed at which the clouds turned colour. A gust of cold wind whooshed towards me, hitting my cheeks. The wind grew stronger, swirling and pushing against the blinds.
As I was getting up to enter my room, a pale flash of lightning made shadows flicker against the walls. This was followed moments later by another roar of the thunder. The whole room groaned as if unhappy about the storm.
I was surprised to see a white curtain of rain approaching. Before I knew it, it had arrived at the corrugated iron roof of the apartment, sending it rattling and groaning.
The fury of the storm was incredible. The trees outside by swayed with the rain. I saw flowers falling to the ground, unable to withstand the wind and the rain. I decided to switch on my radio to kill time. But the noise of the rain was so loud that it drowned the music and the songs. I decided to lie on the bed, and wait for the thunderstorm to cease. After the rain began to die down, my phone rang. It was just Damon checking up on me. We talked for a few hours, I made myself dinner and slept.

I awoke to a knocking at my door. Sleepily, I rose my head up from the comfy pillow and looked at the clock. It read 7:00. Seeing that it was still early, my head plopped back down into the pillow, burying my face in it. A few seconds later, someone knocked again.
"Go away!" I whined, taking my head out of the pillow before burying it underneath. The knocking stopped for a while and I thought that they had gone away, when it started up again a minute later. Letting out a groan, I pulled myself out of bed and stumbled over to door. Blindly, I turned the lock and opened the door. Looking out, I saw that it was Damon that had been pounding on my door.
"Oh, it's you." I said before turning around and trudging back over to the bed.
"Well, good morning to you too Lazy Bones." He said as he walked into the room and closed the door behind him. Rolling back over, I looked up at him for a second before sitting up and running a hand through my short messy hair and then rubbed my eyes.
"Why are you here exactly?" I asked sighing. I was not a morning person.
"Just to remind you that today is the Founder's party."
"So...You came here and woke me up and seven o'clock to remind me that."
"Yes." He answered questioningly.
"Have you ever heard of a mobile phone Damon?"
"Yeah I was just bored." He replied smirking. I sighed again and rubbed my eyes again.
"I'll go away, meet me at the manor as soon as you're ready. We can spend the day there if you want. Then you can shower and change there too."
"Okay then. I guess I should go get changed and everything." I said as I stood up. I glanced over at Damon to see him observing the short shorts and tight tank top that I had worn to bed.
"No, no, what you're wearing is just fine. Wouldn't dream of you changing." He said with his trademark cocky smirk. I raised an eyebrow at him before walking over to where he was standing and pushed him by his chest towards the door.
"Yes, well, luckily I'm not here for your entertainment. So, why don't you just leave and I'll be over when I'm done" I told him while opening the door and pushing him out it.
"Hey, I-" he started to say, but before he could finish, I closed the door in his face. I let out a sigh before I headed for the bathroom so I could take a shower and everything else to get ready, changed into my pink tank top, grey jeans, grey high heels and grey cardigan and took a cab to the Salvatore Manor. I knocked on the door and was greeted by Stefan.
"Oh hey Jane.How are you?"
"Hey Stefan. Great thanks and um, is your brother home?"
"Yeah, upstairs, I'll show you where his room is."
"Thanks." I smiled and ran up and he showed me to the room. I looked around the room as I heard the shower turn off. Just as my eyes landed on the bathroom door, it opened to reveal Damon with just a towel around his waist and water still running down his upper body. A smile appeared on my lips as I took in his appearance.
"Jane, I didnt know you were in here." Damon said with a slightly embarrassed smile as he tightened his grip on his towel and walked over to the bed next to the one that I was sitting on, grabbing the clothes that were laying on it.
"Obviously." I said with an amused smile on my face.
"Well, I think I'll just go get dressed and be right back out." He said as he walked back towards the bathroom.
"Good idea." Stefan said with laughter in his voice as Damon went to close the bathroom door. I saw Damon shoot Stefan a glare before he closed the door and I turned back around to face Stefan. I shot him a grin and shook my head while he just laughed.
