I touched my neck and felt the bandages. I saw a light coming from the fireplace and hoped someone would be there. I quietly crept down and saw Damon sitting infront of the fireplace. He looked up when I entered and in a blink of an eye he was standing infront of me, holding me by my waist.
“You should’ve called instead of walking down,” He said.
“I’m fine. Why aren't you asleep?,” I replied.
“I'm not tired.” He said sounding actually very tired. I walked over and sat down on the couch and felt a twinge of pain in my neck. It was quiet for a little while.“I came looking for you, to tell you I was sorry." He sighed and looked me in the eyes.
“Why aren’t you running away from me? You don't care if I'm a monster? Inhuman?" I saw no reason for fear. I couldn't imagine anything that there was left to be afraid of.
"I'm not afraid of you Damon." I smiled up at him."So, you really are a vampire huh?" I asked, still getting used to the situation.
"Yeah, except for Thursdays. That's when we're Teddy Bear doctors." He smirked and I lightly punched him on the shoulder.
"Tell me what it's like." I said, sitting back on the bed.
"Well, everything is intensified when you're a vampire. So when you're angry, for us it's full blown rage, sadness can rip us apart and love is...a vampire's weakness."
"Do you have any other friends who are vampires?"
"Not really but we know a lot of things. Just enough to make us dangerous." He smirked.
