I looked out of my bedroom window, letting my legs hang over the edge. I was taking in the scene before me; passers-by, students out with their friends since it was the week-end, an old fisherman selling his day's work to a shop owner when I recognized a familiar, expensive car parked outside.Damon stepped out of the car with ease, closing the door and locking it with one swift movement. He was walking towards me, taking off his sunglasses as I waved and he smiled in return. I leaped off from my 'seat' and went to open the door. I swung the door open as Damon entered, wrapping his arms around my waist as he kissed me.

"Good morning gorgeous." He smirked, letting go of me and sat comfortably on my couch. "What are we doing today?"

"Oh yeah, that reminds me. I met Mrs. Lockwood yesterday. You left early so I went out to buy some flowers, seeing as it was raining and not many people would be out and she is hosting an event today. I was wondering if you wanted to go help out." I said, leaning on the wall as I waited for an answer.

"What kind of event?" Damon raised his eyebrows and sat up.

"Well, it's kind of a gathering. There'll be fishing, games, food, you know the usual. I told her that I'd love to attend and would help out if she needed help. She was pleased and asked me to ask you to attend too of course. The fouding families adore you." I smiled.

"Meh, sure why not." He said getting up and got out his keys from his pocket. "Can we take my car out? I'd like to test it out and you wouldn't want to get yours dirty right?"

"Fine I guess. Although I was hoping to impress the ladies with my ride." I elbowed him and grabbed my keys from the counter. We walked to my garage and got my '67 Chevy Impala (Yes, I love this car. It's mentioned in almost all my stories xD) and drove to our destination.

We had been driving for about half an hour, talking as 'The Rasmus' played faintly in the background.

"Turn it up a little bit. It's not annoying yet." Damon said, leaning back into the seat and placing his hands at the back of his head.

"I was just about to change the CD." I said, taking it out and placing the new one in.

"But I liked that CD!" Damon whined.

"Well too bad. Driver picks the music, shotgun shuts his cake hole." I laughed.

"I happen to be a shotgun by offer and not choice." He said, putting his sunglasses back on.

As soon as I saw the entrance sign, I felt a sudden tingling feeling of bubbles through my body knowing a day of relaxing bliss was about to be engaged in. I rolled down the screeching window as I smelt the crisp earth, saw the glassy lake, and could almost taste the campfire cooked smores and hotdogs.

Damon and I walked up to Mrs Lockwood who seemed pleased to see us.

"Ah, Damon Salvatore, Jane. Please enjoy and make yourselves at home."

"Thank you Mrs. Lockwood. Do you need any help with something?" I asked.

"Well, there is one thing. We wanted to organize a game for the kids but it seems as the parent who was going to be the couch decided not to attend."

"Oh, that's no problem. Damon would love to do it. Right Damon?" I smirked. He lowered his sunglasses and glared menacingly at me and sighed. I knew he wanted the Founders to think he was an important addition, although the reasons for that were unknown to me.

"Sure, just call when you need me." He put on a fake smile.

"Lovely. The game is at about four. Feel free to choose any game you like as long as it's appropriate and keeps the kids happy." She smiled at us and walked off, yelling at Tyler and Matt since they were about to drop all the drinks from the truck parked next to a tree.
