Drunk Stefan

"Hi, Dude." I said with a grin as I placed my right hand in his and placed my left hand on his shoulder.

"Hi, Mrs Salvatore." He said as he placed his free hand on my waist and we started moving to the music.

"How are you doing?" he asked a little bit later. A smile crossed my face as I looked up at him.

"Never been better." I said.

He smiled back at me and nodded. "I'm glad you found Damon, Jane. Really."

"I couldn't agree more and thanks." I said. Matt chuckled and I leaned my head against his shoulder as we danced.

I caught a glimpse of Damon, Stefan and Elena sitting at one of the tables as I continued to dance with Matt. They were laughing and talking and seemed so happy, so at peace. So normal now. Who knew that I, Jane Moreau, would bring the Salvatore brothers back together? I sighed and bit my bottom lip softly as a small smile played across my lips.

Damon and I were sitting and talking about pretty much everything, when we heard the clink of a fork on one of the champagne glasses. We looked up to the front of the little reception area, near the DJ booth and little stage and saw a quite drunk Stefan standing up there with a champagne glass in his hand and note cards in the other. There was a microphone standing in front of him and he looked a little uncomfortable and nervous.

"Okay, it's come to the part of this whole thing where the best man and maid of honor give their speeches. Let's just say I'm not too good at this whole thing, so dont kill me guys." He said nervously as he looked down at his cards.

"Oh, you know we love you, Stefan. No matter what!" I called out to him with a smile.

"Speak for yourself." Damon said jokingly, just loud enough for his voice to travel up to Stefan. Everyone laughed and Stefan glared.

"Anyways..." Stefan said as he looked down at his note cards.

"Oh, screw this." He said as he stuffed them into his jacket pocket and looked out at us.

"Damon and Jane are two of the most important people in my world. They are...well, pains in my...butt most of the time, but they do it out of love. That's what older siblings are for, right?" Stefan paused as everyone laughed again. I even heard a couple of amen's come out of the guests. I scowled at them, but turned my attention back to Stefan.

"Let's start with Damon. What can I say? He's my... brother. I might not say it often, but, uh, well, you mean a lot to me,Damon." Stefan said, obviously uncomfortable with expressing his feelings in front of everyone. I looked over at Damon and smiled as I reached down and gave his hand a little squeeze.

"Then, there is Jane and there's basically too much to say about her." I turned my head back to look over at Stefan and smiled.

"Well, she is one of the closest and best friends that I have ever had...and I haven't had that many, so you can see why she ranks up so high. From the first day that we met her, she has been such a great influence in our lives... mostly Damon's. (Everyone chuckled) She makes everything seem so much better and tries to help in any way that she can. I can't tell you how much she has helped our family and changed it in a good way since she walked into our lives. She is just perfect for Damon. And, if I had to choose anyone as a sister, she is the only one that I would want." Stefan said as he shot me a wink. I grinned up at him and continued to listen. Sometimes, drunk Stefan can be quite amazing.

"Together, Damon and Jane are pretty much the perfect couple. I dont mean that they never fight or anything else like that, because they do...constantly. But they complete each other. They add to what the other already has. And they are so close. You can't really think of one, without the other. They are just that meant to be. Anyone who has ever seen them together and knows them as a couple knows that. So, with that, I wish both of you good luck, and I want to let you know that I love you both. Congratulations on finally getting here, brother... and sister." Stefan said as he raised his glass. I quickly picked my own glass up and toasted to his speech. Stefan walked over to us as I wiped away a tear that had fallen.

"That was great, Stefan. Thanks." I whispered as he came over and I kissed his cheek. He smiled.

"It was nothing." He said. I turned as Elena stepped up to the mic with a glass of water and smiled over at me.

"Jane may not be my blood sister, but she's pretty damn close. All those times we would get into trouble for the stupid little things we used to do. Jane was always there for me, no matter how far apart we were. She has been one of the best friends any girl would ask for. Sure, we get into fights, but that only makes this friendship stronger. I hope to God I will never lose her because if I do, I don't think I would be able to go on. I'm so glad you're in my life. I love ya so much Jane." She said, making me tear up. Especially since that was pretty much down to a tee on how I felt about her as well. She was halfway back to the table when I reached her and pulled her into a hug.

"That was the best speech ever!" I cried as I hugged her.

"Every word was true!" Elena said as she hugged me back.
I smiled and pulled back.

"I mean it, you're the best." I said as we walked over and sat back down. As soon as I was seated, Damon wrapped an arm around my shoulders and pulled me closer.

"Hi." I said as I smiled up at him.

"Hi." He said back. All of a sudden, I heard multiple clinking of glasses and looked around to see everyone smiling at us and tapping their glass with their forks. I giggled and turned back to Damon, just as his lips crashed onto mine. I laughed into the kiss and pulled away after the cheering had died down and gave him another little peck on the lips, before turning to Elena, who was sitting next to me. She was about to stand up to go sit near Stefan

All the wedding guests had left. Damon and I walked into the house and headed upstairs to get our bags. Everyone had insisted on us going on a honeymoon, though I didnt want to with the vampires still loose and all, so we made a compromise. Damon and I were going to spend a couple of days in the best suite at the best hotel in town and just relax. A few months passed. I was Mrs Salvatore and I just couldn't get over the amazing feeling I was feeling, although the feeling was soon shared since a few months after, Elena finally married Stefan too.
